Am i the only one who struggled to get into BJ Alex, Painter in the night and immediately turned away killing stalking?? I seriously tried to get into these but i was maybe four-five chapters in on all three and gave up too quick. What are some books you guys couldn't read?
off the top of my head currently its love me, revive me since while the art is chefs kiss I dropped it after the most recent chapter since I promised myself to not be too judgmental and give it a fair equal chance as maybe things would turn around
but nope, the ml made me drop it after it became pretty crystal clear he wouldn’t take no for an answer nor did consent seem to matter to him, no thank you, agh
absolutely no shame to anyone who likes it! it just wasn’t my cup of tea unfortunately and I genuinely got uncomfortable from it

I hate reading love in an illusion, I never got into it. Jinx is another one I can’t read, but that doesn’t mean I hate toxic or crazy romances. I just think Roses and Champagne had more chemistry than just watching some guy get bullied and infantized in the artwork as the story continued…

Some of these are because I just didn’t like how much SA there was the others ones are because I CANNNOTTTT put myself through so much angst, pain and waiting like I purposely avoid Chinese manhuas because I know that laws forbid it and ik MYSELF I really obsess over unfinished + non canon stuff like IM NOT SAYING HEAVENS OFFICIAL BLESSING AND 19 DAYS ARE BAD it’s just I can’t do it I’m not a strong enough solider
But like LITC I was maybe going to read in the future but I forced my best friend to read it for me and she just knows I would suffer too much
(Just to put into context right like I went into watching jjk, not shipping anybody but the moment Satosugu came on screen I started buying figures, posters, slideshows defending it, MY PFP BRO I have a TATTOO WITH MY OTHER BESTFRIEND OF YIN AND YANG BETA FISH IVE SPENT 50$ commissioning multiples edits of Satosugu, I painted my graduation cap Satosugu and Satosugu quotes, I had Satosugu subtle Satosugu captions on my public Instagram which has 2k followers so family friends acquaintances teachers all of the above you get the idea)

And on top of that, there’s this guy on instagram who cosplays and he was basically taking it to the next level with bj Alex, promoting his onlyfans with it and I think that’s what also made me crash out on this book

For me, I just couldn’t get behind the art for Jinx, even though I like the art in BJ Alex and also, Dan is a boring character. He’s too much of a doormat. I didn’t get far into the story to judge the rest of it, the art put me off from the beginning.
