I kinda agree and I kinda don't. Its not something they need to involve other people in. The emperor knows the mother knows the prince knows, so the family that it affects directly and who can help her knows. And her mom is trying to make it up to her to the best of her abilities. She is literally having nightmares and panic attacks when she thinks she screwed up again. I think that's enough. Also this Lilly "only" had to suffer through her mother's drunkness, the worst part she suffered in OG tumeline was avoided because the mom realised her wrong.
Every time the empress is complimented how well she is taking care of Lilly she always has an inner monolouge of how this is not enough to make up for what she did to her. She is constantly reminding herself of her past actions and wrongdoings. So I think she is repenting enough. Her refusal of the emperor's feelings is also a result of her guilt and regrett (=・ω・=)

I also realized that even the bad people (like the mother) was given a chance to live again, makes me realized what if all those villains we know do the same, that would be fair right? Fl's mother is bad to FL and she is also a bad person to others, but she is only paying her debts by treating her daughter right, but how about her victims before? She is lucky, but the villains of her past life is doing the same villainous things...if it's the other way around and other villain would be given another, not her, she would still do what she did before.

The thing is. Lilly was the one who turned back time. When she was executed in the past she wasn't trained in magic, but had it all he same, so when she saw her mother is also getting executed she wished for her happienes and for Lydia that meant to go back in time and make up for her mistakes.

I don't necessarily think everyone needs to find out. But what bugs me is how she hasn't really ever addressed it, considering Lily hasn't addressed it herself. Her Mother treats her nicely now so despite the years of trauma her Mom put her through she was eager to have her Mother's love now. And it honestly feels bitter sweet and breaks my heart. Because Ik the Mother has went through a lot but it feels so uncomfortable and I can never truly accept the way she is treating Lily now, until and unless she actually addresses her abuse against Lily to her face. The only other person who knew how Lily was treated by her Mother was the Shoeshiner, and I love that he genuinely cared for Lily. But its disappointing that he doesn't continue to show disdain towards the Mother, but would have to set his disdain for her aside to work together. But still continue to hold her accountable for the things she's done to Lily. I don't genuinely dislike the Mother but I wish yhe story wouldn't gloss over the abuse she put Lily through

I mean it doesn't exactly gloss over it. Lily freezing up and getting scared when someone tries to touch her suddenly etc is showing us her trauma and her mom is always apologising to her and trying to change so she wouldn't hurt her again. That takes a HUGE amounth of self awareness and the fact she is always analising her actions show that she is being careful, and aware of the wounds she caused her. I don't think it always has to be addressed by words, it shows with their interactions and expressions.
Imo this story is depicting it very well how a selfish person like her tries to change for their child's shake.

I do agree that it doesn't really have to be addressed through words, But also By glossed over I mean, it just doesn't feel like it has been properly addressed regardless of communication, Idk honestly at this point But yk what you're not wrong, I just feel like things become light hearted when the topic is somewhat brought up, I could be wrong and misinterpreting but yeah thanks for that perspective

Unfortunately, story never truly adressed it, they focus on her change without any dilemma or call out.

Thank you, exactly this. It just doesn't feel like its properly addressed at all, Otherwise why does it feel like things are just okay and lighthearted, when Lilly has been struggling with the trauma at that young age

Ngl it would be nice to see a character that is like a psichologist in modern world in there or a teacher who can explain things to her so she has a helping hand to battle her emotions. If that's what you meant. We see her overcoming her fears along the prince in quite a few scenes so Ig author went with the "tought situations make the characters grow" setting but for child care comics it's so refreshing to see caretakers who take care of the child's mental wellbeing as well as teach them.(▰˘◡˘▰)

He comes from a good place, dw, it's because to him it looks like this stranger who is also a liar is just taking advantage of the duke's kindness (he doesn't know that this was suggested by the duke right) because not only has he not been punished for lying abt the princess stuff now he also wants to be a knight, he warms up to malocen soon enough tho, he means well

from what I've read, the knights didn't really understand abt their feelings or love in the first place. that's why when he found out, he was okay to take the d3ath penalty for doubted them lol (dw the duke wasn't some tyrant)

Cus he's never seen the duke be so lenient and caring about someone, so he thought he might be a skilled spy
