This story is so interesting. I really love the art, even when it makes me uncomfortable at times.

What I find especially fascinating is how the art, especially in the chapters focused on Dohun’s backstory, seems to reflect his psychology. His “family” appears through his eyes as dark, faceless figures, which immediately makes them feel oppressive and almost inhuman. This contrasts with the people at school, who are drawn in pale, faded colors. They seem distant and insignificant in his inner world, as if no one truly stands out. Their faces almost merge into one another, suggesting that they are not important to him as individuals.

His family, however, is different. Even if they are distorted or faceless, they are clearly the people who shaped Dohun/Dohyun’s development. I especially like the way his father is drawn. His figure feels stable, composed, and controlled, but his smile reveals his true nature: manipulative, cruel, and sadistic. The contrast makes him even more disturbing because his violence is not shown through chaos, but through control.

The brother is drawn in a very different way. He is often shown sweating from withdrawal, with bulging eyes, which makes him look unstable, desperate, and deeply disturbed. He almost feels less like a normal person and more like a frightening presence in Dohun’s memory. However, there is one moment where he appears in more detail: the scene where he is masturbating. In that moment, he seems less supernatural or monstrous and more human, reduced to basic desire. It feels like the perspective briefly shifts away from the way a child might perceive an abusive adult as a terrifying entity and instead shows him more as he really is. But that clearer, more human view does not last long.

The only family member who seems to be drawn with slightly more detail is his mother, especially through the blue highlights in her hair. This could suggest that she occupies a different place in Dohun’s mind. Maybe she feels softer to him, less threatening, or less directly traumatic than the others. She still belongs to the family space, but she does not seem to be represented with the same level of darkness or violence.

By contrast, Yuwon seems to be the only person Dohun can clearly see for who he is. He is not blurred, faceless, or swallowed by darkness. Instead, he feels connected to the image of the tree and the deer in Dohun’s story, almost like a symbol of direction, safety, or destiny. If the deer represents Dohun, then Yuwon may be the tree: the place he is drawn toward, the possibility of happiness, or the person who gives shape to a future outside of trauma.

Wow, I’m honestly speechless. Season one was sooooo freaking good. The plot is super interesting, and the art is just beautiful. I loved it so much!! I did get secondhand embarrassment at some parts though lol, Gyeol was doing WAY too much at the museum/art gallery like boy calm down. You don’t even know the man like that wtf… he’s too emotional and impulsive.

Overall, it’s a 10/10. I just read in the comments that it’s been months since the first season, so let’s hope the author is doing okay and comes back soon with season two ! I can’t wait (▰˘◡˘▰)

Wow, just WOW !! I’m completely speechless. This story is simply incredible. The pacing is excellent and the relationships between the characters are so well written. On top of that, the art style is absolutely gorgeous omgggg. It is such a pleasure to read a great story paired with such beautiful artwork. This was definitely one of the best TikTok recommendations I have come across so far lol. For now it is a 10/10 and I cannot WAIT to read the next chapters !! I’m in loveeee ☆

I usually don’t mind age gaps in yaoi, but this one gave me weird vibes, I don’t even know why, lol. Gou is way too old to be dating Akihito, who’s really childish by the way. Gou should be with the uncle instead, they look really good together. That pairing would have made this manga peak !!

Omg my exact thoughts!!! I would be much happier if he was non-romantically supporting akihito, kinda like father figure, and then dating the uncle instead. I usually don't mind age gaps, but this one gave me chills. Like especially when akihito is behaving like a child. And has a trauma which he is using sex to deal with it??? He is not one that should have relationship before he deals with his demons first

First of all, I just want to say that I absolutely loved this story. It’s honestly one of the best yaoi I’ve ever read. The art style? Absolutely gorgeous. As for the main characters, I found Kaito and Yuma incredibly sweet and endearing. Honestly, I can’t find anything negative to say about them.

Now, Touma and Hayato? Ugh. Where do I even start? Their relationship and personalities were just a mess. Touma was so weird. Like, okay, we get it. You’re mad and heartbroken because you felt betrayed by the love of your life. That sucks. But why go full drama and ruin the lives of your future selves? Wouldn’t you want them to be happy together when y’all couldn’t ? It made no sense LMAOOO.

And Hayato? My guy, what were you doing? Instead of just talking to Touma, he made the decision to marry the girl by himself, like bro nobody asked u to do all that ! Y’all were already planning to run away together !! He should had asked Touma how he felt first. ( ̄へ ̄)

And also…why didn’t Hayato possess his future self to explain his side of the story to Touma? Maybe it’s because he wasn’t resentful, so he wasn’t a ghost? That part didn’t make very much sense to me.

Anyway, as I said, it was still a very good story overall despite the little incoherences.
10/10 for me.

Oh la la la! I don’t even know what to say. This was such an amazing read. The plot is well written, the characters have depth, and their love feels real. The artwork is absolutely beautiful, too. I read that there’s a third volume, I can’t wait to read it if it’s just as good!

Sthrophea March 21, 2025 1:58 pm

Omg, I love this so much! How is it already one of the best yaoi I’ve ever read in my life in just a few chapters????!

Sthrophea March 16, 2025 8:23 pm

SOOOO… I’m not really sure how to feel about this one. The story started out pretty strong but then went completely downhill. The MC and ML are both really good-looking, this is exactly the kind of character design I love in yaoi. I know it might sound weird, but they’ve got that K-pop boy look, if you know what I mean. (I’m a sucker for pretty boys, sue me!)

But yeah, anyway, I think I’ll wait a few more chapters before making up my mind. For now, it’s a 5/10. (The art style is DEFINITELY doing the heavy lifting here ! )
