have you read my omegaverse polemic? I'm not much of a fan of omegaverse in its most popular forms, but it's an intriguing concept in ways that not many authors want to get into because they're avoiding or not considering the implications for society and personal identity. imo, most omegaverse falls flat because even though omegaverse is normal to the setting, things are still largely set up like regular life IRL when it comes to how gender/sex is conceptualized, how transness is often sidelined, whichever way you think about it, and how cultural norms and practices stay the same. it would be less frustrating if a/b/o dynamics were new to the world in those settings, but they're typically not.

I haven't but I'm about to. Obviously the omegaverse started just as a male pregnancy fetish so i don't really think most authors gaf about the way it would impact society and gender roles but damn it would be so interesting if there were stories that did explore that part of the genre

I mean obv, we all wanted a happy ending but the ending just seemed rushed. I think that's why people feel so awkward seeing Jaekyung being all lovey-dovey with Dan because of the lack of build up. I mean, there really wasn't a lot of chapters that showed his progression from being an ass to his current self campared to those chapters of him being a scumbag.

I’ll tell you what I did NOT expect… a two month time skip where they magically went from awkward confessions to “you make me feel so loved.” We slogged through 98 chapters for Mingwa just skip the part where they finally form an emotional connection.

Don’t get me wrong though. I did enjoy Jinx. And I hope for side stories!
