he finds out he can't just lift the curse right away or ek will die of shock. so he has to Complete ek's curse first (before the demon who cast it), and Then remove it. the way they do this, is sajun has to make physical contact with him to accumulate mana since this world is very low in mana. sajun's desires will change how the curse is completed, in ek's favor.

so far as i saw... it is currently unclear. i think they're gonna find out might have to do with the reincarnation aspect. it is notable part of sajun's energy/essence is imbedded in the curse too (end of ch22) so maybe, ek has the same curse sajun had but again
