So I had to wonder about the intention of the backstory and it probably was to help us understand that after being abandoned, forming a new relationship and then being abandoned again, he developed some form of attachment issues. His emotional regulation, particularly his ability to suppress his feelings and accept his situation, has gone completely out of whack. That then results in him becoming an adult who harasses Nanjo because he can’t handle rejection. But still, that man is not obligated to reciprocate your feelings bro ╥﹏╥
