I also don't like damsel in distress but surprisingly I don't feel or perceive MC as damsel, more of ML is such a clingy bastard. ML has a very thick rose-tinted glasses.

It makes sense though. Just bc you can shoot guns in game doesn't mean you can do it in real life. Like yeah you can finish a zombie survival game but can you truly survive against them in real life? It's more unrealistic to see a gamer who stayed in room all day suddenly have an OP stamina. Not to mention mc's rank is low while everyone else is incredibely high so the difference is big AND he's basically dragged by the ml to the dungeons
