one of my first bls i've read, re-read and finished now. seokyon's sad backstory makes his character layered, making me root for him. yeowon however, has character but not much depth, and isn't elaborated in his pov with his behavior to people, but only how he shows his love to others, like his ex. the past memories like their college days, should've been expanded more for character development, especially yeowon, with his sexuality, etc.
i'm also curious as to why seokyon's question of "if yeowon really spread the rumors" was never brought up again later on, which is his objective in the earlier episodes. i get that it is resolved with being convinced that yeowon seems innocent because of "how he is". but i hoped it was asked and answered directly nonetheless.
with the romance, i find it cute with them ending up together, however i wish it was done differently. it's all captured in this back-and-forth misunderstandings and tug-of-war type of dynamic that both entices me and frustrates me as a reader. regardless, a solid read, loved the slow burn, the wits of the characters, and the overall concept.
oh how much i envy johnny having to ride that cowboy dihh ... reading this with ethel cain music felt so right lmfao. surprisingly a really great story, as well as the art with its scenes as well
