not every manhwa is gonna be sunshine lollipops i think baek muyeol sucks but he sucks bc the author designed the character to suck. he very much has a purpose in the plot, and its to antagonize the main characters if you read literally ANY book, like regular books, antagonists exist for a reason or else this would js be boring nothingburger slop

The interesting thing about relationships is that it's completely possible to love multiple people at once. It's also completely normal to be unsure of who you love and make mistakes while dating someone. I think Lucky Paradise does an excellent job at exploring imperfections and being stuck on someone purely because of the emotional baggage that they left you with or because of the time you spent together.
Yet theres a certain beauty in growth. society has conditioned us to desire a love that is perfect from the start but the truth is that a proper relationship takes time. dating is messy and hard, but the right person will make it worth it. I don't condone two timing whatsoever, however it's extremely important to have these types of stories in the manhwa industry because I think it's important to remind ourselves that not every relationship is perfect and that is completely fine for people to be in an imperfect relationship and grow from or in them.
There were definitely times where I got bored or irritated with their relationship, but I still think that it was worth my time because it reminded me on the nuances and complexity of dating. Sure, it's not a reliable iteration of what dating truly is like but I think it gave me a bit of a reality check with what im going through myself.
Its pretty unique and i havent read anything like this before.

hear me out...eunoh finds everyone lovely except for isak....i rlly hope the author does SOMETHING with those two because i would love to see a "i love everyone but you" trope(like reverse of i hate everyone but you), it would be unique?
i get the person who said theres no substance, because it doesnt have a very profound story--which is fine, its simply just cute!
garam is a typical result of what happens when you lack parental love. hes annoying, bitter but TRIES to hide it, and emotionally manipulative. i would go as far to say that he might have a tinge of BPD(borderline personality disorder). but seeing him and jaehyung was kind of refreshing, especially because he mentioned that he sought out to top everyone as a way to protect his pride and conquest others. seeing him be vulnerable made me satisfied lol.
on the flip side, the age thing is a bit weird yes, but juho is a grown ahh man and tbh having crushes on older neighbors are pretty normal? hoyoon expressing "delayed guilt" abt their age diff is better than glossing over it....the only thing fundamentally and logically wrong about age gaps is power and maturity imbalances that come from being older, and considering that juho isnt being pressured or manipulated by hoyoon, i dont really see a major issue. there are wayyyy worse age gaps manhwas out there so its not as bad in comparison.
theres definitely loose ends here and there, but the 8.8 rating did surprise me. no way theres a 0.1 star rating difference between this and jinx the story is fairly mild, which was a nice change of pace after the copious amounts of drama/angst stories out there.
overall: 7.5/10!
