tldr: mc is extremely smart and geeky, she and ml went together to a competive school as kids and were thus school rivals, ml resents her because he was always used to being number 1 before she took that from him among other things

they don’t meet again until they’re adults due to mc without warning becoming ml’s assistant, and ml is understandable beyond pissed and at one point tells mc to her own face that he “hates” her lmao

however, since it’s a slow burn he starts to slowly fall for her gradually and becomes protective and even jealous at times, and due to never dating in his own life is trying in rather silly ways via usually overthinking to woo her

again, ml is “not” a dick entirely, imo his past once it’s explained properly later on is pretty clear on why he’s the way he is and makes sense

storywise it’s on a hiatus until the 20th of january, but we got 82 chapters to reread so we’ll be fine for the most part
