Honestly same. He is full of shit but everyone loves him actually, retardedly op, absolutely good looking cos ofc he has to be... basically a male Mary Sue.
I also don't see any chemistry between him and the heroine. It's honestly bit ridiculous but at least the art is georgeous
IM SO GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE! I felt like I was going crazy but, I felt like many of his attempts at humor or teasing were either cringy af or kinda insulting. And his "full of himself" attitude really isn't doing it for me when he is holding back actual import information. That's not being coy, that's being a jackass

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I can't even enjoy the constant "I'm such a high spec guy' deflecting humor he is putting on. Maybe if he showed a lot more vulnurability and love, but he's a near constant poker face that always one ups FL.
He is basically a walking deus ex machina there to feed FL breadcrumbs (and meals), because the plot is built with multiple stops in mind, but FL herself was purpose built to reach *some* finish line at max velocity, and will do so if left to her own devices.
The idea is there, but is the character depth in the room with us?
