IM SO GLAD IM NOT THE ONLY ONE! I felt like I was going crazy but, I felt like many of his attempts at humor or teasing were either cringy af or kinda insulting. He is basically a walking deus ex machina there to feed FL breadcrumbs (and meals), because the plot is built with multiple stops in mind, but FL herself was purpose built to reach *some* finish line at max velocity, and will do so if left to her own devices.
