marinate ts bc im on the latest chapter and i won't say it's a happy going rn. yeah they're better than before (bc MC just gave in now bc he's too sad to make mental same decisions) however MC is also not a man who's completely ok. he is a perfectionist with rigid mindset on what's right and wrong, and probably never have loved anyone before.

because people love to excuse toxic semes aslong as they are attractive, they only hate on the toxic semes whose face they dont like. also i think some people enjoy it cause the ml is sooo "in love" with the mc and a lot of psychological manhwa readers are super unlovable/ lonely
i remember feeling so bad for ML the author was crazy for making me feel bad for him. i have accepted/tried to ignore the coercion bc it's psychological in a sense that ML really does not know any emotions except when it comes to MC. that's why he's so possessive bc in a sense he can only feel things when it comes to smth related to MC. it's a pretty effed up situation. they both are so messed up i can see them being together down the line. although ofc it would not be a start to healthy relationship but they, in a messed up way, deserve each other.
You hit the jackpot. There is no better way to describe all this mess than the way you just did. They are both psychologically insane, in one way or another. Sam- myeong's sanity was handled by a threat, mostly because he has always been driving by his right mindset and "what was expected of him to be". So he kept spiralling through a narrative and reality where he finally had to face making his OWN decisions, and trying to make them literally broke him, because all his conclusions lead him to commit "bestial acts" with the king.
Some of you are complaining about other people complaining about the story, as if readers aren’t entitled to their own opinions. Is this the first story where readers have criticized the plot? No.
If you like what’s happening in the story and see nothing wrong with it, that’s your choice. But those of us who can see problematic things and choose to call them out have that same right. Stop acting like people can’t criticize a story and still continue reading it.
This isn’t the first story where readers have complained about the plot while still following it, and it definitely won’t be the last

They do not deserve each other at all? I understand what you're saying about how the ML has a messed up backstory, and it isn't entirely his fault that he has done all this stuff to the MC, however I don't understand how you can say they deserve each other in "a messed up way". MC was just an average guy, sure he had some issues, but what could possibly justify him deserving the treatment that the ML gave him? MC deserves better
Fr MC really does deserve better, and sorry to say this, but I don't feel pity for the ML, not after all the horrible things he did, sure they is a reason he turned out to be the way he is, but that still does not justify all the terrible things he did to innocent people and the MC family
