There are a lot of explicit scenes of abuse directed at the protagonist, (Which were not committed by the ML!); it’s agonizing and might make it hard to keep reading. But the story is so interesting, the main couple has such a beautiful backstory and relationship, and the way the protagonist’s feelings are portrayed… it’s all soo amazingly done!
