In the most recent chapters, all the set up she's being doing has been starting to show and she's getting close (or it seems like) to taking down the other major contender for the throne, Duke Roygar, starting with the Rigan duchy, which I think the Empress harbors resentment towards. Also the red head pirate prince that kidnapped her a while back has rebelled.

The reason the empress hates the Rigan duchy is because she was actually a direct descendent of Rigan duchy and her children through her but because the emperor wanted the money and assets from the duchy for himself alone that bastard used some of the non-direct Rigan people to get rid of the directs heirs including his own children (he placed this blame on Cedric's parents, 2 birds with one stone for him ) so that he has full control over it and gets money from them. Unfortunately for the emperor the non-direct Rigan people proved more greedy then he expected and market manipulated the salt trade without his complete knowledge (he knew something was up but not the details) and Queen & King Amel were involved in this with the Rigan Duchy. So when the first Domino falls and Queen Amel is killed by Tia through the proxy of the girl who hated Rigan Duchy, everything came crashing down, the Rigan duchy requested help from Grand Duke Roygar to get them out of this situation in exchange for their support. On the other hand Tia was also causing discord in the Camille and asso. Families through Ian (the dude who is the actual rightful heir) and Skyla which made the Grand Duke's main advisors weaker especially in a situation where they are most needed. So Grand Duke Roygar walked into the trap that Tia set up in his greed for the throne, he was going to resolve this situation to get more power but got stopped at the worst time by the red head Prince (another one of Tia's pieces) which would make him look both incompetent for messing up an international situation and also associate him with the salt trade mess. And before Grand Duke Roygar, she also made her brother look incompetent to get him out of the trap she specifically made for the grand duke and get her brother under house arrest. And through this mess she further weakened her brother's faction by getting some of his people to stop supporting him through money and information and also weakened both the Emperor's trust and emperor's non-political people like the general's trust in Laurence.
Through this whole grand piece Tia got- Partial Revenge for the Empress against the Rigan duchy, made Grand Duke Roygar's power weaker and put him in a pretty dangerous situation, decreased his supporter's power too, made her brother look incompetent, got the red prince his country and finally dealt a decent blow to the Emperor himself. And she kept Cedric out of this whole mess using various things like her pregnancy.
All in all one of the best political gambit I have seen an otome isekai if not the best.

BWAT are one of my all time favorite mangakas, but for some reason this story doesn’t feel like the others… I don’t feel the connection between the characters and don’t find them appealing which makes me cry because I want to like them </3
