It's disappointing that Lezhin, while having more resources and charging so much, won't invest in human translations (actually it's more abt laying them off rather than employing new people).
I imagine it's to release more chapters back to back with less people, just like desire and myth toon scans.. those are always uploading their AI translations almost as quick as the raws are posted.
Actually, wonder if these companies will try to replace artists and writers gradually in the future.. To make the whole thing with AI and have all the profit goes to the company.
Honestly I prefer spending my money on the official raws, at least I don't have to read AI and miss context or read something different to the original.
Idk, I always liked translator notes and explanations on how they changed the meaning in English for a smoother translation and then explained more closely what the original meaning was; by using AI and just making the already translated English sentences sound smooth and natural, the editors are most likely not paying attention to how the original meaning's been changed. It's such an ick..
That would explain why I’ve read some stuff where the ai translation and the officials were identical. Only difference was the officials were censored or completely changed out swear words. When I say identical I mean even down to the font, size, spacing, etc.

One of the few Author's note I enjoyed reading. I love everything about it. LIKE HOLY SHIT THE DOODLES OF JUHYEOK AND HIS TEAM IN IRL PLACES, THE EARLY CONCEPT ART, AND THAT ELEVATOR DRAWIN OF SUAH AND JUHYEOK IS ALL JUST PURE MASTERPIECE BRUH
I normally avoid any stories with cute/twink Ukes because they're just not my thing, but I read the last story completely just so I can write my opinion properly without missing any context.
I think there's a line between malnourished/cute-faced twink, and a literal childlike design. The last one is nice n all, it had crazy potential, and I did kinda enjoy the storyline. Uke looked fine—non-childlike, at least a little bit—during some of the non-explicit panels. But the smut scenes were so uncomfortable to look at because they drew him too young-looking a lot of times. I seriously skimmed past the art and just read as much relevant dialogue I can because even the size difference was killing me.
Not to say any size difference immediately makes someone look like a kid, nahhh. but the way they drew him is just so specifically "kid"-coded, that's why it can read to some as Pedo-material.
Overall, tho, yeah, Uke looks like a kid.
