Personally, this is way worse than being disabled or losing the fight and I’m glad it went down this route. Having Dan, whom he truly cared for even if he doesn’t admit it, be hurt and on the brink of death because of him while he basks in glory, all healthy and shit would slap the crappy personality out of him more than anything.
The moment he thought “dont tell me baek jumin did this just to win this match?” was already reality hitting him like a truck because the match isn’t really everything afterall. It’s hard when you’d rather be the one hurt than the one you love but you can’t really do anything ╥﹏╥
