I always like to check the pronunciation of unfamiliar character names before I start reading something so thankfully I was aware of this Unfortunately I don't think the author/production team for this story are, in the audiobook they always pronounce his name like ee-lay
Ah they cut off my comment, but I always wondered if I should pronounce his name the way the author intended for it to be instead. Since the English transcription came later and was likely done by the translators, I think the way it's written originally in Korean might not reflect that. The kr version might be more accurate to the "incorrect" pronunciation.
