This series reminds me of Cavier Falcon Princess or The Falcon Princess.

    Insertbratwurst June 13, 2024 1:20 am

On mangago it seems it’s listed under Carrier Falcon Princess.

    Insertbratwurst June 13, 2024 2:23 am

Another similar series is I’ve Become A Crow.

I find it hilarious that Asians seem to believe that blond people have blond pubes and red heads have red pubes. I don’t even think they do that as part of fantasy. It seems to be something they honestly think can happen.

Like the way they make half-Asians with western hair/eyes colors even though that’s scientifically impossible. Darker color genes are dominant and lighter cooler genes are recessive (hair/eyes), therefore in the first generation of western/Asian blood being mixed there will never be blond/red hair or blue eyes.

Japan and Korea are both first world countries with great education systems but this widespread lack of basic knowledge about genetics is weird.

It's not necessary impossible yes it's rare but not impossible most rajasthani people even though being brown by genetics have European blood mixed and many of them have very light eye colour ranging from blue , green , gray and hazel

    buttcruncher June 12, 2024 3:27 am

who's half asian in this story? there are asians with light colored hair and eyes like mongolians, they're not an exclusive western feature.

rajasthani Is not Korean or Japanese which I intended to specify, but seemingly failed to do so. That’s because I don’t know the exact term for the specific countries within Asia that don’t include the dark skinned people. Why? Because specific races manifest certain genetic traits differently. Even things like their offspring bearing the traits of complete dominance VS Incomplete dominance or codominance. Seeing certain types of dominance occurring from Japanese/Korean offspring would guarantee that the Japanese/Korean parent wasn’t pure blooded to begin with. It’s kind of like how Africans can get sickle cell anemia but white peoples can’t.,. And that’s genetic. Certain mutations only occur within specific races. Which is to say “ rajasthani” were never being considered as related to what I said. Sorry for the confusion.

Um so, the comment relevant to the story was about how blond people don’t have blond pubic hair. That’s just doesn’t happen.

Separate from that, but on a related subject, I wanted to point out how weird it is that certain Asian cultures seem to have this belief that a half Japanese/Korean/Chinese child that’s also half Caucasian will inherit pale eyes and hair as if that’s normal and to be expected. Like they seem to think that’s not as unusual as giving birth to an albino child.

Not saying it can’t be done, just that for it to occur- either the Japanese/Korean/Chinese parent has to be of mixed blood to begin with or some extremely rare mutation has to have occurred. I just find it odd that it shows up in Japanese/Korean/Chinese culture so often as a typical “totally standard” concept.

From the beginning I never meant to suggest other non Japanese/Korean/Chinese cultures can’t have pale hair or eyes. I wasn’t even meaning to include other races because certain races exhibit specific traits related to genetic dominance differently than other races. Like for Caucasian blonds how both codominance and incomplete dominance aren’t strange to appear in their eye color. But it would be super weird to see codominance appear in a Korean/Japanese/Chinese eye. I’m just saying… since it was a related/similar topic I just wanted to point that out.

P.S. the whole comment I made originally was based around genetics and how it seems like Japanese/Korean/Chinese culture doesn’t recognize how genetics apply to Caucasians OR how genetics apply to children of mixed races between Caucasians and Korean/Chinese/Japanese.

Basically, example: genetically blond people don’t have blond pubic hair. Red heads CAN have red tinted pubic hair but it will still be darker than the hair on their head. This whole idea that blond pubic hair exists seems really weird to me. The lightest shade it can be is brown (for blonds) or reddish brown/plain brown (for redheads).

Since the whole idea of hair color is about genetics, and I’ve also thought certain concepts about genetic hair color occurring in mixed race kids (from specific Asian lineages) was weird, I decided to include my commentary on that as well since it seemed somewhat related.

MLs d*ck is so big it’s a f*cking plot point.

Insertbratwurst June 11, 2024 1:09 am

Just gonna say it straight. The final boss of this series has less screen time than the final boss of all those early 1990s jrpg video game bosses that you meet for the first time in the final show down.

This whole series has this huge underlying secret plot thing building up about the bone king just for the jerk to make a 5 episode max cameo appearance at the end. WTF?

Insertbratwurst June 10, 2024 6:13 pm

Haven’t read this yet but after reading the summary it seems like the translation is probably really bad. Just how bad is it? Can they keep the gender pronouns straight? Is it easy to know who the target of a topic/statement is? Does it make sense without needing to spend extra time trying to interpret what the translator was actually trying to say?

    Woah_maybe_its_me June 10, 2024 9:42 pm

Pronouns: nope, extremely they keep referring to the MC as "He", The target: hmmm, I guess? You can go by context, Make sense: more or less but more on the less side

    yadi (^¬^)/ June 11, 2024 6:19 am

The pronouns are charged girls are he and guys are she
    Sister is brother
And like that, but since it's always the same you can get everything alright

I clicked on this cause it looked interesting. Then I realized I’d read this before. It’s not marked as “now reading” or “read” though… did I forget to mark this, or is this a double upload? Not sure…

    Insertbratwurst June 10, 2024 5:53 am

Also wonder why the author’s name, that’s listed here, is different from what I find when I search online… Google says it’s Curie?

Insertbratwurst June 8, 2024 1:05 am

I remember this being an Isekai story about architecture and business at the beginning… somehow it changed into a story about chosen ones and killing god. Kind of got me wondering when and why the genre changed.

Insertbratwurst June 7, 2024 4:55 am

It’s a trial where evidence is being presented to people who loathe and distrust witches… yet instead of pointing out how decades have passed while the marcheness hasn’t aged at all, they’re going to use witches as witnesses… even though the people they’re trying to convince don’t trust witches- not to mention how aristocracy values their own. Don’t just claim the noble is a witch, prove it! Why would they take the word of witches as truth just cause they show up in mass?

    simsim June 8, 2024 4:10 am

Right! All of their evidence is word of mouth and from (frankly) unreliable witnesses in the eyes of the public. I mean, we have the banished lady, the possible arsonist with the warrant out for her arrest, her sister, and an old lady who somehow evaded the massacre of witches, a practice happening for over a generation. AND she admitted to murdering a noble even IM not convinced by their storytelling and I saw all of it happen

Insertbratwurst June 7, 2024 1:50 am

Why don’t characters in these situations ever explain what they just found out to their significant other? Instead they just brood about it and cause misunderstandings and resentment to build up. Like seriously I think the concept of keeping important information secret from the relevant party is a trope protected by the divine power of plot armor!

Authors around the world need to learn how to write stories that don’t depend on poor communication between couples to drive the plot. Trust and relying on your partner when you’re weak is a sign of a healthy relationship. We need more healthy relationships for our mcs. Believe it or not, even couples without problems can still get into plot worthy situations.

Insertbratwurst June 6, 2024 11:56 pm

I know this series is slice of life, but at the beginning it had some semblance of a plot. Now it’s like, “today we did ________” and that’s it. Plus the swimming arc is too long.
