Anyone else getting Nara Shikamaru vibes?

Insertbratwurst May 19, 2024 4:28 pm

In my heart it’s already been 100 years! Welcome back!

Insertbratwurst May 19, 2024 3:49 pm

Are we about to see where the story’s title comes from? Does this mean we’re nearing the end?

Insertbratwurst May 19, 2024 1:24 am

No really, ml father killed her mum. Keyword = father, as in NOT the male lead. Last I checked children aren’t guilty of their parent’s crimes unless they participate in those crimes. Even adult offspring aren’t guilty of their parent’s crimes. I mean HELLO? Did person A or person B commit the crime? It was person A? Got it. So why are you blaming person B?

    obsidian May 19, 2024 1:26 am

I don’t think she was blaming him. She didn’t want to marry the child of her mother’s murderer which is pretty normal I think.

But like, that’s what I don’t get. What does the father’s crimes have to do with the son’s potential as a groom? Disregarding him as a potential suitor (when the option of marrying for love was never on the table) can only happen if fl believes ml value is determined by his relation to a crime he didn’t commit. Like my mother (before I was put into foster care) was a criminal. If I met someone and they refused to see me as a person, an individual, and for myself because my mother had hurt them, I would feel wronged. I didn’t commit the crime. Being avoided/rejected/hated for my relationship to her would feel so unfair. Plus fl married ml and had a son with him and fl not only hates ml (who practically worships her) but hates her child too? So she hates the grandchild of her mother’s killer (who wasn’t even born when her mom was killed prob) even though it’s her own child? That’s crazy insane reason to loath innocent people.

chill, the spoiler said she wasnt the original fl during those times she abused her family, i think a part of a somewhat hatred took over (the red haired witch?). but thats not really the case for her, since she's forgiving.

in another sense, you cant really blame her reasoning of not wanting to marry the person, again, she mightve just been infused of overwhelming emotions to say that. opinions change overtime. but, for the reason that why did she still marry him or had a child with him, again, i think, thats not the original fl, as ssome spoiler states.

Not trying to be hostile here but why would you post a spoiler in someone’s comments? That kind of thing needs a proper warning label.

Better quality update for the win!

I feel like the characters are aging backwards… that’s what the art tells me. Technically Misaki was 18 at the start of the series. He was being tutored for his college entrance exams. Currently he is a college graduate. Including the months before/after college we can assume around 4 years have passed. Usagi was in the same class as Takahiro, therefore they are the same age and should have the same age gap with Misaki. Meaning Usagi is 10 years older than Misaki. (Other various references throughout series claim 10 year gap.) So… if we assume Usagi was 28 at the start of the series, and 4 years have passed, then he is currently 32… or a bit older? But the art does not reflect that at all. Square chin semes aside, I like the old art better- minus the lack of proportions.

    SugarySugar May 18, 2024 5:26 pm

It's just the authors new art style it seems. She also changed the art for sekaiichi. I think she doesn't like her own art style now lol

    ReverseHaremJutsu May 18, 2024 5:33 pm

I miss the old artbut not the art at the very beginning, the author changed their style a bit half way though and I liked it cuz they had better proportions and it looked a lot more neat, but the new changes recently are too much for me, I like seeing the art improve, but I don't like it when characters faces fundamentally change

    Chiaki May 18, 2024 5:40 pm

The series is literally running for over 15 years now, wdym about art style change

Yeah, it’s been that way for a while… saying it’s new- I mean it is only during the last few chapters- but how many real-world years did that take? Still, proportionately you’re absolutely right, the author updated her art style recently. It’s just that I don’t like it. I prefer the old style.
I spent what? Around 20 years appreciating this story even with the cannon “square chin = seme” thing. I lived through the crazy massive hands and everything else. I get that author’s art has improved in a lot of ways, I just don’t like how she’s aged them backwards. If square chins were the only way an author could show age through art, every series would be full of square chins. Usagi does not look 32 and Misaki looks younger than when the series began.
And yes, I hate it in sekaiichi too. That one updated recently didn’t it? 4 more days= 4more real-world years prob. Lol.

Has it only been 15 years? Could have sworn it was closer to 20… well whichever it’s been a damn long time.

That's understandable! I do admit Takano in sekaiichi looks exactly the same as he did in high school which feels a bit weird, considering the whole premise is about meeting up after a decade so it felt better when he looked a little more different

I think it's on a schedule in the Emerald magazine which only gets published 3 times a year so that explains the lack of chapters + their other work SiH so we only get a few chapters per year unlike Manhwa which follow a 7-10 day schedule until a season is finished.

yeah and I think that contributes to why webtoons are so popular these days...they get updated way more often than manga.

Is it weird how the longer I read this story the more I hate it? I kept thinking, I’m sure it’ll get better once they reconcile or overcome their past… never happened and now original fl is doing some repossession sh*t? Yeah no - this story is dark, depressing and full of emotional pain, not to mention how both leads have an natural talent for neglecting and being inconsiderate towards anyone they don’t take a personal interest in. Especially each other! I can’t do it anymore… I’m dropping this.

During a time when mangago was down for a prolonged period of time, I looked for alternate sites and found flixscan. It was so bad! So many ads! You could hardly see the website because of all the ads that covered up everything! It was sooo annoying. Like you read a page, scroll down- have to stop and close all the annoying ads that are blocking the screen, scroll down again- more ads… copy paste repeat! NOT WORTH IT! I don’t doubt that site is crawling with viruses. Flixscan is all about the money. Viewers are just wallets. Ugh.

    Haru May 17, 2024 6:10 am

    Also the translation is shit

    Clairexxxx May 17, 2024 11:39 am

What the heck is Lotto Princess doing here? Hope the uploader replaces the last two chapters with the right series.

Insertbratwurst May 11, 2024 7:41 pm

Who dropped this? Is studio storm the author or the translator… I need to know!
