Was it a delusion due to the letter the guy gave him, that he conjured up an older version of satoko.
But that also doesn’t make sense, cuz the letter said she was alive and working. So he shouldn’t have delusions about it.

Ik it's unrealistic but I feel like he will give her his heart. I've been thinking this forever and maybe at the end if they both die we might get a snippet of them falling in love in the modern world, reincarnated all over again. I'm probably wrong though
