He never torture someone like he did to ryujin u will read further how disgustingly he actually torture someone's since he fell in love with ryujin at first sight he decide to use him and want to die by his hand as salvation..... That's why he feel before men might have impacted ryujin life but shin feel hatred and revenge are strongest emotions than other love that's why he tortured ryujin this way
