Call me the friend who's to woke but it's really disappointing that kanna is the only one who gets punished for what shes done, it kinda reeks of misogyny. I get that the 2nd prince was manipulated or whatever, but i dont think he deserved a happy ending at all (in this life and the last). He may not have been the one pulling the strings, but he was just as much of an ass as kanna was, he destroyed fl's past life, i cant believe that he got a happy ending.
It's probably because in this second life, kanna still coveted her father and both still committed the sin that hurt her mom and ruined her family. While the second prince chose to back out from the scene, I mean that he did not have a strong pursuit to kill the crown prince (though he still had intrusive thoughts about killing him), perhaps because of that woman who made him turn his back from his origins. These are just my thoughts hehee.
Oh i agree! Kanna deserved her punishment. I think i wrote my comment last night too hastily, but ig what i meant is that he got his second chance too easily (in my opinion), but then again the story is practically over and wrapped up. I guess i just wanted more repercussions to happen to that guy, even if lynette's main target for revenge was kanna, but that's just me tho ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
honestly im split because i understood the first half of the manga, its commentary about society and how he navigates through that as a psychopath
but then it focused more on that predatory sex cult he groomed boys into and the violence centered on women and it just kinda turned into another fake deep edgy bs manga to me
tho some can argue that the second half of the manga specifically focused on that because of narrative purposes, i just cant see the reason as to why tho
