I kinda really hate this manga.
It's well written as far as I can remember, but it acted as a turning point on how yaoi was written. What was once a mushy romance genre was after muddled with stories with so much hate and violence in the genre. We still see the effects of it today, but it has certainly calmed down.
Still, I respect the story for what it is.
Yes, it really never should have been labeled as Yaoi in the first place.

there's no way dash copied it, it was first published as a web novel back in 2020.
As someone who read the novel for dash, yes there are some similarities here and there but it's not the exact same. Ofc the big difference is the sports and dash is omegaverse. For example if you read manwha about gamers, a lot of them have similar events and plots but still very different.

Anyway, the author said they like happy endings, so I want to believe "Romeo" had no chance to go against his father. That, or I and the author have a *very* different understanding of happy.
The story is super interesting and the artwork is gorgeousss. However, I feel the BL aspect is kinda forced into the story. It doesn't feel like they have much chemistry going on between them.
It's still a great read, tho!

It’s a huge slow burn. Sa young really loves our boy but our mc does mot feel the same until much later. Right now it’s one sided hence why it seems forced
The plot is moving so painstakingly slow and there are so many interruptions. Cant wait to see what happens after they finally figure out their misunderstanding to see how this will continue. If it will at all.
Had to go and check receipts. I stopped reading back when part 1 finished. It has been an entire year and a month plus and they are just now back where they were at the end of part one lmao. Painstakingly slow doesn't even cut it.
