For those who finished the story so far.
So… if I understand everything properly… Osiris and Seth were lovers before Seth had his awakening as a god which resulted as him forgetting his past relationship with Osiris. Since Osiris already had his awakening he remembered all and held on into (probably) the promise Seth made that they continue their relationship or something. However, he fell for Nephthys and married her. I guess Osiris humored Seth and let him get married while he married Isis (probably that she awakened as a god around the same time as Seth and forgot that Seth and Osiris were together). Since Osiris still loved Seth (though it’s obsession at this point) he enchanted the mirror so Seth would have been forcefully in love with Osiris again unfortunately it’s Nephthys who used the mirror and that’s why she cheated on Seth. Which later on lead to the event of the now current story.
Honestly, Seth is the main victim here… I don’t excuse what he has done to humans when he got the throne but I think he’s also the one who’s still suffering the greatest (I’m biased and I can’t bring myself to like Isis – too much of a coward for me personally ) with Anubis (my sweet baby…). Osiris knew that when a god awakened it’s like becoming a new person entirely. He’s being unreasonable, petty and cruel over something he knew would happened (sincerely hope he dies no matter what )
I really hope that destiny can be changed so Seth doesn’t disappear on his own because of heartbreak. But I’m sensing a bad ending honestly (I hope I’m wrong) so my last hope is reincarnation where everybody is happy and Seth not raped anymore
Its surely a speculation but cannot say for sure if they were lovers for real or if it was onesided like it is now. Secondly u cannot remember your past life after ascension its taboo n penalty is anhilation. its hardly unlikely there's anyway osiris recovered his memories without without any harm n if he did then its gotta be half or twisted enough to delude him into thinking they were mutually in love. Remember how he tried forcing seth to recall his past life n broke his soul in the process? He kept doing this experiment n had to employ nephyths to help fix Seth's soul( piece it together ) n increase the size of desert until it covered the entirety of egypt which mind u, was once fertile plains. He was the one who mastermined n had nephyths marry seth to keep him close n bounded by family. He said seth was like sand..always out of reach flying away n had in him the airs of distance which made osiris try n find multiple ways to trap him even going against nature to force pregnancy onto seth n make child cuz he believed seth apparently wanted family n children n doing this will make seth his finally.
You’re right, that’s why I was think Osiris was already a God before Seth awakened which could explain his obsession and why nobody remembers this supposed relationship. And what’s makes me say that is how he precisely described Seth as sand and how he made him greater like he created him or what (big ass god complex on this part) but either way he’s a dih. I hate him so much
Why this is kinda toxic up to the competition arc…? I mean, it’s funny sometimes and stuff but still… Sometimes it made me uncomfortable idk how to explain it

I’m so sad for Jian. He deserved a clear happy ending, he suffered so much. His end kinda ruined it for me + the mid character’s personality over all
I know it’s not the first story that uses rape as a trope or something but still it needs to be talked about.
There is a way to turn a story dark without using rape. It’s just that authors seem to either enjoy using rape or don’t know how to darken a story. I mean for pearl boy for example, I’m pretty sure the author is conscious of using rape for basically every story and for everything. However I don’t feel like every author realises that. More importantly, maybe not copy every clear stereotype we see in a yaoi now: the story was doing great on itself because it was a bit unique on it own and captivating.
And for the people who says that Aaron was insane from the start and that the author warned us it’s going to be dark it shouldn’t mean that rape is mandatory. End.
I get that for some rape can be freaky in a fiction but at some point it’s not even freaky, it’s just deranging and borderline fetish like.
