I'm in love with this story:) Definitely, will be on my go-to or reread list. While I am hoping for a side story just to have a peek of their life outside the dungeon, I feel like the story ended beautifully. The ending may come off as abrupt but it totally makes the title " The Promise" make sense. I also think the ending is an open ending which allows the reader to have their own interpretation and continuation of ending they wanted. (Be it the personality, relationship, community integration, or just adjustment in general.)
This is b0mb! Definitely read this if you are a fan of supernatural/sci-fi genre. This story also has a spicy kick to it;)
If you love this and doesn't mind a little spicier (i think) and longer story, check [RADIO STORM] because it has the same main concept and is also B0mb. Ciao!
The ending was a bit rushed. When u think about it, sometimes it's really this easy to forgive and it happens specially if you really love that person. Because Kim Dan is just so pure that he sees Jaekyung's (heart) positive qualities and not his rough facade, it is easier for him to justify and forgive all the things Jaekyung did. Despite the ending, what I hope is that Jaekyung will continue to love him and care for him to make up for all those shitty things he did in the past. He better pay until his last breath.
What a roller coaster ride! But ofcourse I enjoyed this ride. While I don't wish for any harm to anyone, I just think that maybe a little extension of chasing arc might help. Anyways, it's personal HAHAHAHA
Ps. I love Jaekyung's flushed face when acting all lovey dovey with Kim Dan. He looks happy. I like it^^

This is a masterpiece. Everytime I read this, I always have an inexplicable feeling---like, I thought I understand it after reading it but then i would have another realization, conclusions and judgement the next time I read it again. This is the kind of story which allows me to see it in different perspectives during different stages of my life...and that's probably why I consider this a masterpiece.
It's not just romance---of how those two people overcome everything to be together in the end. It also explores the complexities of a man's motivation for survival which unveils the disgusting reality of being a the "highest'" form of life, human.
Readers will probably have different takes on this matter but I HIGHLY encourage reading this. Just see for yourself and maybe we'll be on the same page. Ciao!
