A bit not my cup of tea. The biggest importance of the plot focuses on just how much mc like her father, but we know almost nothing about the dude. Her constant simping feels weird, and the moment when father beaten the child and mc was thinking only about how cute her father is at that moment? I don't know, just rubs me the wrong way.
The art is really pretty, but the story feels so boring and dragging. They add a lot of details, but it doesn't make the world more complicated or full, quite the opposite. The amount of details creates plot holes and the feeling that the characters had resources to succeed but don't do it just because. Indeed sad thing considering that the concept itself quite interesting.

Mc 17 and the ml is 50 yo with 3 kids. Two of the said kids constantly bully mc, as well as the maids constantly go against her, yet mc does nothing. It feels like a story about poor young gal that needs big strong man to help her, which is truly a poor writing and just uninteresting plot.
I don't think you fully grasp the situation FL has been forced into. She is well aware that she is NOT their mother, who only died 6 months ago mind you, and doesn't have the clout in that STRANGER'S house to do anything. She's the new wife, sure, but her husband isn't home to reinforce her authority. It's like adopting a second cat. The 1st one is likely NOT going to like the second for awhile. And an absent owner? That's a recipie for disaster.
She isn't doing nothing. She's a 17 y/o girls who just had her fiance die and was forced into a new marriage. She's desperately trying to figure out how to slot herself into this new dynamic.
Yvette is perfectly capable without a man saving her. Dismissing her character because she's demure at the start, in essentially enemy territory w/o any support, is a disservice to her efforts.
Tldr: Give Yvette time to find her footing. The story is still just starting out.
