plot tldr: mc wants to save her family’s childhood house so she goes from the countryside to meet with her deadbeat dad in the city (she doesn’t know he’s a deadbeat for awhile lol) and gets tricked at first by him and his girlfriend into staying, unaware they’re going to both groom and sell her later into an unwanted marriage for money because major debt
she does learn about it later thank god (reminder she’s literally 19 at the start of the story and original novel if I recall correctly?) and accidentally meets the ml’s eyes in public, she draws his attention not solely from that but because her family name keeps getting mentioned often
and unfortunately ml being a massive dick (aka the whole story up till the latest season finally) decides to place a bet with his friends on who can woo and eventually marry her first, plus he wants to forget his own ex wife who fucking cucked him as we learned later on (she tried to pass off another man’s baby as the ml’s)
but he does grow to subtly love her but.. yeah he’s still ‘very’ cunning and hides ‘a lot’ of shit from mc behind her back, nor does he even protect her really from how the other members of the royal family and general public treats mc which.. yeah is downright unfair to put it mildly
besides that? if you haven’t touched happy together.. I ain’t spoiling it because it’s genuinely such a treat and when it comes back for s2 soon, it’s gonna be reunion 2.0 (another manwha if you read it and it’s og novel that’s a masterpiece)
