I feel like the journal reveal was kind of weird. Like we were just retroactively told that Gonghyeon's entire arc wasn't real because he was never going to give up on Cheongsoon and already was willing to open up to him and answer all his questions, so he didn't actually grow that much over the course of the story. I'm just gonna pretend it's not real lol
That’s an interesting take because I see it as Gonghyeon thought he was rejected by cheongsoon since he never showed up at the airport to give him his answer, so he spent the next 10 years trying to get over him but ended up not being able to and looking for him when he got back to Korea. I think gonghyeon grew in the sense that he excepted his love for cheongsoon which is what he was so scared of doing, and also stopped closing his heart off to the thought of falling desperately in love with someone. He also stopped being such a playboy lol. They both hopelessly kept their love for each other locked away for 10 years which is SUCH a waste, but hey they are together now and will spend the rest of their lives with one another so that is wonderful.

Minchan is an asshole but he's showing care in his own way and I don't think it's unreasonable to be concerned that Taewook is doing something that's dangerous and getting himself hurt over and over again (saying "you're not suited for it" is a dick move but what he's expressing is that Taewook is less physically resilient than an alpha yet insists on competing against them). I think the fundamental problem is that even though Taewook seems more airheaded, Minchan is the one who's frivolous and has lived his life doing whatever he wanted and not caring. He doesn't get that Taewook can care about something enough to sacrifice part of himself for b/c he never has (until now, cause he's starting to care about Taewook himself).
This is sad or whatever but its kinda hard to care bc it just feels like a generic tragic backstory to explain why he's a shitty person. Like you could replace it with any other toxic top tragic backstory and it wouldn't rly change that much. And I'm not even a toxic top hater I just don't gaf about this "explanation" when it's so boring. If u want to make me empathize with him maybe make him actually show some character growth now instead of dragging out the plot with this lame paint by numbers backstory
