i really want this to be one of those bl where the mc gets hurt emotionally. i want the boy —who i believe is the cayote—to break dennis' heart and overall emotionally damage him while also giving the mc his best memories of life. a story where they dont end up together but they both cherish the time they spend together and in the end break away.
i can see this story being hauntingly beautiful.

the love from both the hyung and sunbae lacks authenticity.
sunbae has yet to show genuine love for hanjoo and from what i see, if mostly boils down to physical pleasure and possessiveness. he is protective of hanjoo but it does not come from romantic feelings, rather because he’s spooked about the hyung (i’ve already forgotten is he had a name).
the hyung on the other hand cares deeply for hanjoo but it’s not the kind of care you get from a lover or someone who truely loves you. we can see it’s because his actions reflect both hanjoo’s desire but also a goal he’s trying to achieve for hanjoo’s sake (though it doesn’t seem to alwags make hanjoo happy). he is also possessive. his love does not seem organic which makes sense. he doesn’t love hanjoo because he fell for him but because hanjoo needed that love.
i’m still more so on the hyung’s side and i hope he is the end game. mainly because he brings out hanjoo’s raw emotions and allows hanjoo to be selfish and give in to his own desires rather than please someone else.
this could change drastically by the end of season two though
i am one of those readers who first read this in high school and i am now in my first year of college. i have grown with these characters. i love, love, loveee this manhwa so much that it's constantly in my head. this manhwa has also inspired me to plan and eventually write a bl too cuz i love storytelling and since i am an artist, hopefully i can create a manhwa from it. paskim will always have my support
rereading just for them. half of the readers complain about the story focusing on side couple, kyubin and seungtaek (fair since we were introduced to the mc first not them) but they are just so well written! i would give anything to have extra chapters about their adult life. their relationship developed so nicely and it blossomed into such a beautiful thing. though i love the main couple, i wish people actually gave kyubin and seungtaek's story a chance. its not boring, just a bit unexpected to be introduced to them so early given they're not the focus.
i wanna gatekeep so bad but for the love of LITC, read this manhwa. go yohan, you will always be loved (had to say this sorry). i rarely get deep into a manhwa but trust me when i say you won't be disappointed with the story. i have finished the novel and while there are some small topics it doesnt address, its very realistic compared to other manhwas. it depicts the teen social hierarchy so well and the idea around homosexuality mirror the real world. BEST OF ALL, the mc is not a frail little thing, he actually has a sense of survival and is incredibly insightful when it comes to social interaction.

From what I remember to the point in the novel I read. After this Johan and Jun start hanging out more but there is always a strain. At one point Jun is at Johans house and sees how differently Johan is treated by his family(they ignore and him shit) and I think he picks up a call where Johans dad is just straight up screaming at him. Anyway, while at Johans house MC finds a bunch of pictures of random objects but then notices that hes in every single one of them. These pictures dated before Jun knew of Johan. I can't remember what happens next but eventually Jun invites Johan to his house for dinner (cause he knows how bad Johans family life is) Johan seeing Jun having a better relationship with his family thinks Jun is mocking him so he starts kind of bullying and isolating him at school (that was the part I was up to).

yes ur right, this is roughly what happens. also yohan badly beats up yunwoos and junwoo ends up hospitalised while yohan becomes fhe new king basically. fast forward after jun finds the photos on yohans phone (cuz he registered his finger print secretly) he realises yohan is gay and yohan says he knows jun is gay too and assumes jun (still) likes junwoo to which jun say he did but doesn’t anymore. yohan gets aggressive and harasses jun and after realises what he’s done he cries, and jun wants to leave but yohan says if he leaves, he’ll make it hell for him. jun doesn’t care and runs back to his house. so at school they both ignore each other and because of this people starts picking on jun knowing yohan won’t protect him. jun becomes an outcast and get his arm and leg injured while yohans doesn’t care. yohan sees other bully jun but doesn’t do anything. jun befriends a nice guy named jaehyung. fast forward a few weeks yohan tell jun they need to pretend they’re friends cuz yohan fam asks y jun isn’t coming over anymore. so they get closer again. yohans mum helps juns fam with getting into the special entry admissions of uni and jun goes over to thank her and then finds out from yohans sis that yohan lied about being ignored by his fam because he’s actually really loved and is always the center of attention. ppl suspect yohan is gay and tells jun to stay away from him and jun is scared his school life will be ruined if he stays friends and ppl find out he’s gay too, one of yohans friends (not really friends) plots to expose yohan by secretly filming him coming out. he asks jun to confess tp him to put yohan and film it and post it. jun agrees to bring yohan down. comes the day of confession and instead of confessing, jun tells yohan minho plotted the prank so yohan beats up minho before he films anything. he also beats up another one of the friends that spread fhe gay rumors and they both stop coming to school. jun is accepted into his desired course and doesn’t tell yohan. he meets jaekyung outside of school coincidentally while looking for books and they hang out. he tells yohan he’s home but yohan sees them and becomes a bit jealous. yohan says he’s jun best fried so jaekyung is also a friend to him (he’s passive aggressive) jun in front of jaekyung tell yohan that he never considered yohan a friend and that he’s a piece of shit. after this jun avoids yohan and doesn’t see him again until he moves to his dorms. he flies overseas too to avoid yohan. a few days after moving into his dorm his room mate finally comes and its yohan. more mature now. apparently yohan tried really hard to find jun even after jun said he hates yohan but couldn’t. now jun tells him to move rooms and he agrees but doesn’t yet. he had also stopped being religious after his prayers to see jun again doesn’t get accepted. he tells jun he had always been “desperate for his attention” and didn’t care for others basically. kim minho find jun at uni and attempts to injure him with acid. he throws fhe acid but yohan suddenly appears and block him and gets injured instead. he’s hospitalised and only jun stays with him. his fam doesn’t care. jun thinks maybe he isn’t loved actually. yohan had lost senses in three of his fingers, barely able to move them and has a big scar of his back from the acid. at the hospital after he gets better, he kisses juns feet. jun believes he should be responsible and takes care of yohan and he still can’t get rid of his feelings for yohan. they get closer and now that they’re both mature, theirs no bullying just sexual tension. in the side stories they fuck, first time is from jealousy i think. the actual story is sm better. i’ve reread it after the manhwa came out to refresh it for myself.

the day that jun stays over at yohans house, he noticed yohan isn’t eating with his family and he’s isolated, having to serve food and eat by himself. jun sees that the family is eating together while yohan is in his room and hungry but doesn’t go to the dinner table. jun assumes his family treats him horribly and doesn’t love him cuz there are also no photos of yohan anywhere in the living room but there r photos of his siblings. so jun drags yohan to the dinner table so he can finally eat with his family. jun sits down at the dinner table and when yohan attempts to go back to his room saying he’ll eat later, jun says “u said u were hungry earlier” so yohan has np choice but to sit down. he’s flushed red. jun atp really likes yohan and even thinks god created him to take care of yohan. he’s doing all of this because he hates seeing yohan so sad and scared when he is usually so confident. so he tries his best to make yohan feel good. however, at the table, yohan is uncomfortable. yohans mum offers yohan some crab but yohan isn’t really eating it and jun remembers yohan doesn’t usually eat seafood so he thinks how come his mum doesn’t know that. he instead acts a bit out of line and puts a bunch of meat on his plate instead. meanwhile yohan keeps looking down and uncomfortable and looks at jun questionably but jun avoids his gaze. his family leaves after eating and yohans dad says “ur really doing too much” and jun thinks it’s to him but later it becomes more obvious he meant yohan was doing too much. jun gestures to yohan to keep eating and says he’ll wait for him to finish and once they do, they go back to the room and yohan is silent. in the room jun sees yohan eyes r red and yohan says "You enjoyed it, didn’t you? Watching me fucking tremble in front of my father—seeing me not know what the hell to do—that must’ve made you happy." because the whole time yohan thought jun was belittling him, humiliating him. he attacks jun and starts sucking and biting on his shoulder and then stops and cries realising what he’s doing. he’s mad at jun and says he’s done everything for jun. he made jun more valuable than junwoo and helped him climb up the school hierarchy knowing jun cared so much. but he feels like jun doesn’t do anything for him. jun is scared and wants to leave. he says if jun leaves he’ll turn him into nothing then takes it back and says “just don’t go”. jun still runs and leaves him behind.
a long time later when jun talks to yohans sister, the dinner conversation comes up and she says yohan lied abt not liking crab and he always eats so much of it, that he’s an attention seeking sociopath that’s why juns behaviour that night was so ridiculous because yohan had never been bullied. in fact he’s always acting out of line. so jun is left to assume that yohan had played him this whole time.
after yohan sees his again in uni where they share a room, yohan says he wasn’t lying that his fam hated him. he also had adhd which they “fixed” apparently. he’s mentally not normal and his behaviour sometimes doesn’t follow the usual human logic. apparently he truely feels ashamed in his family and feels like an outsider. his dad also tried to get rid of him by pushing him onto jun, the sister actually says this not yohan.
i think people say he turns into junwoo because of this scene and maybe because he ignores and doesnt help jun while he’s getting bullied. but yohan never actually beats up jun likes junwoo beat taesan. he’s mad at jun for ignoring him at school when yohan (in his own weird attempts) tried to make up at school. yohan truely believes jun tried to humiliate him and actually hates him. after a while yohan gives up and subtly tried helping jun at school and outside but jun avoids him. yohan had liked jun for a long time even to go as far as becoming the new leader of his class because he thought jun would like him since jun liked powerful people (like junwoo) so much.

i believe we can all tell that the love dennis has for todd isnt the same as the "love" todd has for dennis. sex is an exchange of energy and company when scarce is like a drug. Todd gives just enough to keep dennis locked in and make him feel insatiable. he alludes to dennis living a life "tamed like a sheep", chained to todd's desires and demands. todd will test dennis' love with wild requests. we see him sacrifice something he is meant to protect, but how far will he take it? will it come to a point where todd is above all else, even his own needs and values? im expecting top tier literacy exhibition from this manhwa. i hope it doesnt disappoint
