Is this actual, intentional BL, as in the author meant to write BL and all the subtext is deliberate and indicative even if not explicit or it is one of the stories that have gotten miscategorized as BL because people are reading too much into a friendship just because it is the focus of the story?

kinda late but it is BL. Is based on a novel with the same name, and they go all the way in the novel I believe. And they do date.
