(and even though I love morally grey characters and red flags tops myself, I do find it uncomfortable when they're portrayed like himbos/or have golden retriever personalities but then proceed to constantly coerce/ rape the bottom like huh)
I’m always reminded that all it takes is for an author to whip up a sad backstory to make people forget the actions of a top who’s taken advantage of their bottom. #notmovedbythepuppyeyes
I hope the epilogue chapter is longer than the chapters this season. I wonder if it’ll be about TJ and YW going to California?
You just have to laugh at #joians because they really convinced themselves TJ was dreaming.
I also wanted to say that it’s incredibly weird how some of you are so quick to use homophobic language towards Youngwoo when he doesn't behave the way you like all while reading a BL.
This is a public work; therefore, people have the right to express their admiration, disappointment, or provide constructive criticism. However, the behavior displayed over the last two days has genuinely gotten out of hand. I want to assume the majority reading this are adults, but this is not well-adjusted behavior at all. The hypocrisy of liking a so-called “green flag” character but somehow thinking it's okay to harass and threaten a real person because the story didn't go the way YOU wanted.
When you read and invest in a love triangle, it's a 50-50 chance the side you're on won't win. The author can do whatever she wants with these characters because they are the result of her hard work and talent. If you don't like it, that's fine, but acting psychotic over fictional characters is just absurd.
Doyak said she poured her heart into Chapter 32, and I just knew they were special to her. The whole “how can we be over when we never really started?” was TELLING. Their tragic, interwined and nuanced backstory. The season 1 finale. Youngwoo still being with TJ even after he told Jo he wouldn't sleep with anyone because he knows he doesn't like it lmao?? The flashback of their first time. The reunion and how he admitted he was miserable after TJ disappeared and then asking TJ to leave with him. Then getting mad after he's rejected and having no form of intimacy with Jo after they meet up again. And him risking his life and Jo’s for their matching necklaces and earrings. And don't get me started on the visual parallels. It was always them.
I’ve always felt the foundation of this story was built on Youngwoo’s and TJ’s relationship and it was clear that no matter what, TJ was always on YW’s mind and in his heart. I think the most obvious sign that TJ is endgame is the fact that the last sex scene was between the two of them.
Oh Taejoon and Youngwoo's home being not a place but each other is so beautiful, especially when you reflect back on the whole story.
And another thing, the author said we'd get a feel of who the ML is halfway/latter half of this season, and I think we're past the halfway point now. So yeah. The only thing I would like to see is when Youngwoo first started liking TJ since she said we'll learn about that.
It's so clear that some of you have long convinced yourselves that this story was going to go a certain way--that it was going to be like so many other bl's where the uninteresting "good guy" character would play savior to the deeply traumatized mc. And despite the author saying that's not what this story is about, "that this isn't a story about one person saving another," and that ALL THREE of her characters are flawed, #some readers have completed twisted the narrative and have deluded themselves beyond help. No matter how much you shout into the void, TJ is not a villain. Doyak has reiterated that many times. Youngwoo does not hate him nor does he want to be away from him. He loves him, if the latest chapter wasn't obvious enough. You don't have to like him and can continue to do so if it pleases you, but it won't change the fact that TJ and Youngwoo's relationship is the foundation of this story.
