My entire personality at this point is just BL/yaoi, fictional men with unresolved emotional issues, and staying awake way too late because I *needed* to finish one more chapter. I came here for cute romance and somehow ended up emotionally attached to characters who communicate through trauma, tension, and aggressive eye contact. No regrets though.
I mainly read yaoi/BL, and my taste ranges from wholesome green-flag relationships to the most dramatic, toxic, emotionally devastating stories imaginable. One day I’m reading soft domestic fluff and blushing over hand holding, the next I’m consuming pure angst while questioning my mental stability. Balance.
I love slow burns, enemies-to-lovers, obsessive devotion, height differences, black cat x golden retriever dynamics, emotionally constipated men, jealous idiots, possessive behavior that would be concerning in real life but entertaining in fiction, and couples who act like they hate each other while obviously being in love. If the tension makes me scream into a pillow, it’s automatically good.
My reading list is 50% romance, 50% emotional damage, and 100% men being dramatic.
