Edgar is single-handedly ruining the story for me, something in me just inherently abhors child romance and I just immediately start reading every chapter of their romance in annoyance or sometimes just fully skip the chapters. And the “just don’t read this genre then” logic is also so annoying because I genuinely love these types of stories, emotional development, found family, world building, etc. I know it’s inevitable that there will always be child romance in these types of stories and I’ll just continue reading them anyway, it’s just really irritating to see.
Doesn’t matter if he blushes or not, it’s obvious he’ll be the ML, and I said I simply disliked that. I had explained in the original comment that there was just something in me that hates watching/reading child romance, dunno why that’s so hard to understand. Acting out of character for their age is also not the issue I was talking about. If anything I like that Liliana is a genuine kid who just happens to know the future, she’s a KID, some of the things she does and reacts annoy me sometimes, but she’s so cute and honestly unhatable. My main issue is that I said I dislike romance in child-care stories no matter how it is portrayed or well it’s written. I enjoy the adults struggling to have their romances and it’s actually entertaining and the only thing keeping me from dropping, because well, they’re adults.
But here’s the funny thing, there isn’t any romance. You “know” Edgar’s the ml so you are unconsciously stereotyping all of Edgar/Liliana interactions, but lil kids holding hands, blushing, and hugging are not inherently “romantic” gestures. If Edgar’s mere existence bothers you then yeah you should probably read something else.
Obviously they treated her like shit because they were under a spell, and even if it was under a spell, she still had to experience it and hear it all happen to her face. So I’m not saying she should be nice to them or anything. But when she healed Leyef and Macryan she talked so coldly to both of them even though they literally had no control over their actions, and she KNEW that. One second she’s saying she’s uncomfortable that both of them are at the meeting, next second she’s using/casually asking favors of them to do this and that, despite both of them consistently being apologetic and listening to her commands. No character is or should be perfect, but I have a feeling the author just wrote her being angry at them was supposed to be a “badass gotcha” moment rather than her own flaw as a character. Because I really do see this as a flaw, and it’s fine, but annoying.
Yeah I kinda agree it was a weak author decision. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ but kinda so is the whole harem genre. Multiple guys likening one person is a lazy way of saying how awesome your fl is compared to actually making her go through hardship and growth. Overall, I still like this as it e dead up not actually being a real harem story
Although I do agree with you, they were under a lot of manipulation and had no control. But why does that automatically mean she should owe them so much sympathy. In her mind she was basically betrayed by them even if she eventually discovered the reason it’s hard to bounce back from that. Did you forget how one of them didn’t even apologize when the spell broke? No. She also isn’t originally from the world she resides in as we’ve seen she hasn’t even been apart of it for a year, they all didn’t even know eachother until their journey which she was forced to take. We should honestly show more support towards her, why does she have to accept them right away? Obviously she wasn’t asking for favors, it’s clear grace has a much bigger plan and the saviors roles were to always help the people. They all would’ve clearly done something even if she didn’t ask. She’s the only actually doing anything to help!
Your argument is exactly what I already stated lol, she doesn’t owe them sympathy but at the same time they’re not due her attitude she’s giving them for actions they had literally no control over. It goes both ways. “Obviously she wasn’t asking for favors”… ? She’s literally been asking for favors maybe not to her benefit but the moment Leyef regained consciousness she made him immediately get holy water as a back up to continue healing. Just because she has good intentions doesn’t immediately make her in the right for being an asshole towards those who UNKNOWINGLY wronged her.
When it comes to these types of childcare manhwas I hate romance and prefer the mc to be with family rather than the story focusing on having a love interest at a young age, but I lowkey don’t really care for the family and wanna see more development between her and Hailon (I know, mind the spelling, they keep changing it), I know we’ll get more story of them later on but it just feeeeeeels soooo slooowww even after they kissed (/TДT)/

This series not having a novel is so annoying because I have to play the guessing game where which girl will be end game or if it’s one of those annoying ones where he ends up with all of them.. He obviously shows zero interest in any of them thankfully, but man is it annoying as fuck, can’t we go back to when they respected him rather than being attracted to him? The past 30 chapters where the girls exist have all been about them fighting for him in some way, wow! What great character development!
