So I read the newest chapter and it helped reinforce my belief in a theory I had come up with earlier (only read if you’ve read the newest chapter 78)
I’ll basically copy and paste what I typed on a previous thread, but essentially Seongchan was chosen in the rite as the “one person” that is granted the honor of seeing everything put in its proper place. Before, I theorized that that “one person” (now confirmed to be Seongchan) is the one that has to stay behind to allow everyone to leave. Maybe Bada was also a player in the past but then was chosen by the rite, therefore he was left behind to let a previous set of players leave and became a part of the game as an NPC. Bc a few chapters ago, the villager NPC specifically points at both Bada and Doha when referring to “all outsiders” that are involved in the the first offering, and I was thinking that if Bada was a true NPC, would he truly be considered an outsider? (Tbf though he could also be considered an outsider bc he came from outside the village just like the players. So I was unsure if outsiders referred to the players or if they meant literal outsiders of the village).
But now that Seongchan has become the “chosen” one, I was thinking that he would be the one that stays behind and becomes the new NPC in order to allow the others to escape. If Bada is able to escape, this would also explain how an “NPC” would be able to escape the game
Edit: I just thought about this too, but the villager NPC completely disappeared after his role in the puzzle was completed. With that logic, the fact that Bada hasn’t disappeared yet either indicates that his role hasn’t been fulfilled yet (could be related to his role in the rite), or that he is perhaps a player too
No side stories so far but what about the glasses friend and the guy he was chasing??
It was never a major plot point. Chanyoung and Hyunjin are the main couple, so they are the main focus. The guy he was chasing was a fleeting character, as Chanyoung's other friends who appeared for a chapter or two. Author mentioned they may create a separate story for them since their theme is different from this one.
it was a major point. if hyunjin was not interested in the friend, in his words hopelessly in love with him, he wouldn't even be in the same uni as chanyoung. they wouldn't even meet or the whole thing between them wouldn't even start. hyunjin's interest in the said senior was a significant device for chanyoung to truly evaluate his own feelings for hyunjin, and none of that negates their relationship now. infact it's the fact that they resolved the whole situation involving the senior and the feelings is what made their relationship steady. so I think you extinguishing that character and that entire plot point as never major is wrong. it is used to describe the manhwa on this website. so I'd like to know what's with the guy and all. and thanks for letting me know about the seperate story I didn't know that ^^ I'll look forward to it
Honestly I’m disappointed at the ending of this, why was there a sudden amnesia plot there at the end?? At the very least they should’ve taken more chapters to show that being resolved but they didn’t. They should have just let her keep her memories and have the inlaws get back together and that would’ve been the perfect ending

THERE’S GONNA BE SIDE STORIES YAYY
SAY U SWEAR
