It was a pretty short one where the main character keeps getting rizzed by his love interest who both the mc and we the readers know, actually hates him. So there’s a mystery element of why is the love interest constantly trying to rizz him up? They went to the same high school but didn’t start regularly talking until getting into the same college.
The twist reveal of the love interest was really funny, but the story ended quickly after the reveal. Story doesn’t have any smut.
There was this college-setting Korean bl where both the main character and his love interest went to the same high school. Protagonist was always ranked #2 in his grade while love interest was always #1. However they didn’t really talk to each other until entering the same college. But now love interest is super romantic and flirting and confessing to the MC that everyone around them is like “yall should just date”. Except MC knows that the love interest has hated MC since high school and even now for some unknown reason. MC is right but we don’t know the love interest’s intentions.
The reveal turns out that the love interest is just really petty. He had some unlucky moments in high school and because MC just happened to be in his peripheral vision, he became the target of his hatred. And then the manhwa ended :( Just as it was gonna get more fun

Her childhood friend is an extremely cute 2-sided mega bitch who would to gaslight gatekeep girlboss the mc into isolation. Most of the story takes place in elementary school. The love interest would help the mc find the courage to grow a spine, so the childhood friend hated the love interest’s guts. Though she pretended to have a crush on him because mc and her were the type of friends to always want to like the same things. Also to further isolate the mc of course.
The childhood friend is a manipulative and messed up bitch, but her twisted affection for the mc was the most real thing about her. Although it’d make mc’s life a lot easier, mc could never truly hate her childhood friend either. In the end, after mc worked a lot to communicate their feelings all the way to middle/high school, childhood friend moved school district still a bitch but not as manipulative. And then mc got together with her love interest and stuff, the end.
It was the most interesting toxic yuri(delusion) I’ve ever read. The childhood friend was so delightfully evil and scarily realistic in how she went about bullying the mc. The targeted beef was absolutely insane for what. Because the childhood friend wanted mc all for herself(delusion)? The cherry on top that makes this top tier toxic yuri to me, is that childhood friend is the 2nd ml loser HAHAHA
I think it might have been a western or Korean webtoon originally? There were a total of 3 pairings, each couple being the story between some kind of immortal grim reaper/or angel(?) and human. The first couple had a bittersweet sad ending as the human was an overworked salaryman that died too soon. But through multiple reincarnations such as a tree and dog, they could stay together with each other even if it wasn’t the og way.
Remember the second pairing was lot more controversial and hated cuz grooming- not the grooming pets kind btw. Silverfox reaper/or angel killed their human’s parents (might’ve been abusive??) and so, raised him I think. I just mainly remember this story got a lot of hate for this pairing because of how skull emoji it was in contrast to the emotionally-griping and sensitive first pairing’s story. Vaguely remember silverfox immortal thing played a part for the first pairing and was aesthetically an attractive bottom. And very very vaguely remember his fox-like smile. Based off what I remember, he probably was my favorite character design lmao- can’t remember his human partner’s design at all
