A lot of people saying that he should have cut his hair and "dressed like a boy", that's not really the problem. A boy can have long hair and wear skirts or whatever else and still be a boy. The problem is that no one acknowledged that he was a boy even though he was one and clearly preferred to be acknowledged as such
Not to mention the mentally abusive mothers and the other characters ignoring consent
I read this for the first time a couple of years ago, and was not disappointed. Ignore the 1-star ratings and the nay-sayers, this was an excellent, quality manga. So intense and dramatic. Just all-around a good read. And the ending was perfection
