To grow up feeling like she wasn't surrounded by just as much love. I have no doubt from their backstory that her parents love her just as much, even if they aren't her biological parents. She needs some therapy and some good ol' fashion yuri to boost her self-confidence.
The ex feels like he made that shit up either for the author's convenience, or cuz he wants to piss off the happy couple. I hope they just communicate freely and let themselves accept each others love, and also boundaries. Not getting outed is important. But so is communicating the truth if that's not really the only reason. If it is the reason, I hope they get something to show their bond to each other, even just to themselves. They deserve to feel the others love clearly.
Really wondering what the couple dislikes on this one wanted me to say. "Don't be afraid of getting outed, even if it puts you at risk, just bet it all on love"? "Shut up and don't communicate"? "All or nothing is the only way to be"? "The ex is actually a cool guy"? Some people really itching to be mad, lol.
I'm just gonna drop this series. Amazing artwork, but at what cost? I'm fine with letting a lot slide in fiction, but man, idk. I just don't enjoy reading flat out rape. Put the spiciest art you want to it, but I'm not having fun as one party is literally screaming no the whole time. Maybe in the past I would have kept reading in case "it gets better," but I'm far too tired for that anymore.

U're not alone in this bc I really liked the complexity in characters and the art style is so good none of the characters have the same face syndrome but damn this chapter traumatized me sure ofc it will get better by at what cost
