It gets worse for our MC, he gets a chance to finally be free but he begs to stay out of fear. I had to skip a lot of the novel because it was so hard to read but I am curious how this artist will draw whats going to happen.
They end up together trauma bounded but idk that sounds like a happy ending to me

I don't know why but I just can't seem like full volume , maybe it's the artstyle or the story ..I don't know but I just can't seem to come to like any of this author's works . The artstyle is not bad .. it's just not for me ,the proportions and just not doing it for me . Beom's body just looks like breadloaf to me honestly... Story isnt that great either , honestly was expecting more from it since it has a high rating, there is a lot of smut , if you looking for that , it has a lot of it and the characters are freaky as fuck but everything else is just lackluster. I admit the authors artstyle is very distinctive and cool but the smut parts look weird to honestly....

Yes that is how it goes in the novel. They’re not saying that the mistress is the actual mastermind and trying to assassinate Kang, it’s just her idea. This part is also in the novel around chapter 14.
