FL is much worse than ML. She's genuinely so insufferable, her tragic life explains why she acts in a way, but it doesn't excuse her. Not to add that she seeks ML to understand her but she doesn't open up to him in any given occasions, feeding their miscommunication love slop

Oh baby you're completely right. The infancy/toddler/childish behavior is very strong in this fl, while ml is surface-level at best. But I guess that's what a mediocre romance-focus plot manhua is, so not much to devour here

while I agree that the story is not some crazy plot twists, it's a bland sandwich arranged nicely on a plate. most people aren't continuing to read this for the story, they are reading it for the art. art this good is rare in comics and it's always a spectacle to see

Yep. Plus if you watch the c-drama or if you read properly, you'll see that shu yi is a mega hardworking person. She struggles through a lot and still manage to be the ace of her company. Im so proud of her. Let her catch a break and enjoy fluffy life please. Not often you get a bf to spoil you rotten.

Tbh drama shuyi and manhua shuyi are two completely different person imo, this manhua shuyi is sadly too childish/toddler-like for me almost to the point the drama and manhua hv diff plots

Thank you, someone said it! Yes, the art is pretty, but otherwise there is nothing to it. Like she was all cool in the beginning and I was really hoping there would be more to their characters, I kept hoping they would be fleshed out more, I thought there was potential for it in the beginning. Not saying she is not working hard etc, but why this ridiculous infantilization? They are stuck in superficiality, then there is this parading of toxic traits of patriarchy presented as "aww, so cute and fun". I had hoped that there would be some growth. But nope, it's just going downhill. Too bad for the beautiful art.

This manhua isn’t supposed to be thrilling and invigorating, it’s like OP said.. Very y/n vibes and pretty much no plot. But that’s why majority are reading it.. It’s a lighthearted easy read.

That’s literally what I said. She does the baby girl act for her man.. There’s a name for the way she acts idk what the Chinese word for it is but ik in Korean it’s aegyo.. It’s a just a cutesy way of acting, usually for your man. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but some guys eat it up. If you don’t like it, no one’s forcing you to read it. Yeah there’s no depth and everyone who enjoys it knows that.

Funny how you're the one associating depth with chaos and toxicity. I've enjoyed plenty of pure romcoms that had depth purely because the author put a lot of thoughts on fleshing out their characters and the setting. This is purely my opinion and everyone have their standards so i'm happy that you enjoy it <3

Not everything needs to be heavy and filled with depth. I think I made it quite clear the first time. This isn't supposed to be what you're looking for. It's for people who want a light read and no heavy emotions. It is to cleanse your palate.

Moreover, if it's sooo not meeting your standards, why even bother reading it? It's made for those who just wanna chill for a bit.

Girl why you out there in the comments fighting people's opinions? The worst part is that we all agree this manhua is just "enjoyable" slop what's there to talk about. I've also made myself clear. Normally people defend the work they find the most well-written with their lives and yet you are here i would fight everyone hating on peak fiction too but this aint worth your time.

I like the novel. I like the manhua. It doesn't have to be peak. But calling it a slop then enjoyable? You need to make up your mind. And I'm not defending something that's already more than good enough to pass time. You on the other hand, seem to have made it your mission to criticize something "unworthy of your time," apparently. Also, you and I are not we. My taste isn't as shitty as yours. Neither do I try to find baseless problems with a high rated manhua that, unsurprisingly, feels good to read for a LOT of people. Maybe put your energy into finding a manhwa that suits your taste in depth.
