the structure of the world reminds me of gachiakuta but it's an entirely different concept in itself. what makes the plot so wonderful for me is how we see that the black rings or "hybrids" are not the absolute evil but were forced to do seemingly bad things due to the system of their world. though set in a fantasy dystopia, it really reflects the great divide between poverty and power in real life. also, the idea of the powers "rotting" people from the inside can really symbolize how authority corrupts ones mind leading to its abuse. the storyline really has so much symbolisms that makes you reflect on the current real-world events especially at its worsening state right now. i might just be nerding out but its just so goodddd i can't wait for more chapters and i hope this doesn't get discontinued considering the strict censorships in china
i kinda expect it wouldnt happen and the mugos will return to one person but i really REALLY hope the mugos dont merge together and lose all their indiv quirks and personalities ╥﹏╥ i mean i get that their existence is bad and is a result of trauma but i guess each and every one of them is loved by jaheon in different ways so much so that it feels like there will be a big portion lost in the dynamic of their love story if the three personalities dont exist independently, but idk if its just me ig, i just really dont want all of them to disappear completely
i feel like y'all hating on kwon ido r disregarding sejin's feelings here. what matters above all the judgement is how the victim feels in the situation n if they decided that it was time to forgive, then who could actually stop them? and also, it's not like kwon ido up and went "i'm sorry" without changing his actions, thoughts, nor feelings. y'all rlly need to understand the concept of remorse and repentance like, ok it doesn't erase what he did but at the same time sejin is forgiving him in order to heal from what happened as well. both of them are dynamic and well-rounded characters that y'all aren't ready for cuz u got used to reading flat and static ones.

Personally, I found this quite similar to "Beyond the Memories", and I've seen conflicted opinions about both these stories as well. But for me, I think both really emphasizes the mc's own will in finding happiness on their own terms. It's just that they chose to forgive and include the ml in it. Though it really is a bit sad that their plots revolved around repulsive acts under the excuse of love in the first place, I like to think that a person given a chance to rewrite their fate after being sent back to the past would like to fix what had happened and turn the events into a more favorable outcome if they truly loved the person despite their twisted personality. Though there are a few plot holes that does leave me a bit curious, such as what happened to the first personality in the "Silence" world, or who exactly was the author of the book, why and how were they given a chance to go to the illusionary world and back to the original one, it was still a fairly good read. In the end, their love clearly was a mutual choice made by both of them, even for the mc, after careful consideration of the worst scenario that had once happened. But maybe it's just me, so definitely give this a read from start to finish before forming your own opinion on it.
Would you forgive your rapist?
Well technically, in the mc's experience, it only happened like it was a distant memory or something in the past. He hadn't lived through that life that time around so he was able to forget about it. Of course if it happened in real life, there's no way I'd be given a chance like that so it would depend entirely if knew the person enough or if it was really a stranger, and depending on the circumstances it happened too, for me to forgive or even move past it. Though I do have a dark experience in sa, I thankfully haven't experienced the worst yet, and would do hope it remains that way. Since what happened in the story is fictional to the characters, I wouldn't be given another life or go back in the past like in this fiction.
He did live it, thats exactly why he have mutiple personalities, its not a isekai AT ALL, the world that is a fantast is the where omegaverse doesnt exist. you should read again if you are this confused
For one, I never said it was isekai but the mc definitely had regressed to a time back before the abuse happened (because it started on the day of his auction) and had forgotten his initial experience due to getting trapped in his illusionary world of his drawings. Mc had always treated the events of the past, aka what happened in “Silence” as something only the “real” Huimin experienced since his memories of the illusion world are more prevalent (seen in cases like him being more outgoing compared to the past, having different tastes in food, and perceiving himself to be stronger than his body really is etc.). He initially believed his “real” life was the one in the illusions/drawings, but even after learning the truth, I doubt he could consider that life as fake or irrelevant, and still had a significant impact on his personality.
It is also important to consider that his original self did technically die (mentioned that he offed himself). His next memories then consisted of completely opposite experiences compared to what happened in “Silence”, such as growing up with a caring family, being more outgoing, and creating a good bond with ml in that life. Having then formed a more positive personality, a healthy and healed mind, and positive social relationships, he got sent back to a time before everything in the original story happened. So he had good memories of ml on the illusion world and on top of that made actions that resulted to an improved relationship with him on the regressed timeline, which, when measuring the time duration, was longer than the total time they spent together on their toxic past life, aka in Silence.
It is completely fantasy, even if not considering the omegaverse setting, because of the illusionary world and time reversal!!! Because why would the ml exist in that world if it was only a dream inside mc’s mind? It was definitely on some level real. Which brings us to ask how exactly ml brought them back to their original world, but too bad that wasn’t detailed down on the story. However, my point still remains that the life where they both died already seems distant for them due to having lived different versions of it twice. Thusss, the mc was able to forgive because what happened before really was like a distant past compared to the life he lived in the illusion world until the present timeline where he mostly had good memories of ml. Get it now?
You are in huge denial. Just say you are okay with a character that raped his love intrest and go
I did imply that actually!^^ I am okay with the story. Though I had already explicitly showed my support more for the mc and not on glorifying the ml. The main topic of this discussion was forgiveness and how it is a choice by the victim whether to do so, since your first question was “would you forgive your rapist?” And I only expounded on circumstances where forgiveness is possible and related it to the how mc might have come to that decision.
I hope someday you see a good psycologist that wakes you up.
You expounded on circumstances where forgiveness is possible.... Mhhh. So you're speaking as someone who had a similar experience and how you forgave them? Or is your opinion totally irrelevant in this matter? As someone who can't empathize with SA victims and just should shut up. Expounding on circumstances where forgiveness is possible... People are lost and brain dead
Finally someone with a brain here
And they say fiction doesnt affect people oppinions.....
My opinion on the matter was asked directly, since the question was would I, specifically, forgive my rapist. Which is exactly why I answered in what I would consider, and not speaking out for every SA victims and if they should forgive then, but rather explaining my case and what exactly happened in the story to mc that would make me forgive them, including having to literally time travel,,
Why are the two people in replies to your comment section acting like you're some bad person for saying you dont gaf about fictional rape? Death to all rapists but as long as ts isnt real who gaf
Oh my god because it fucking affects reality to a extend
Did you see how op even said they could forgive a rapist? Thats what romanticizing rape in media does
"What is wrong with liking fictional rape?"
What is wrong with liking fictional racism then
Fictional pedophilia
You so called "proshippers" have a dead brain
No it doesn't? That shii has been debunked about fiction effecting reality by actual psychologistsand if it does effect reality, it effects people who arent mentally stable. Forgiving rapist is one thing, of op thinks that they would be able to forgive THEIR own rapist, then thats their thing tobdo and no onr can criticize them for that. Especially not you since you're assuming that because they consume fictional story with mentioned rape in it, that they are dicesitized to it
Its not mentionting, its ROMANTICE, wich is literally apollogism wich is a fucking CRIME
Apology*
"Fictional racism" is usually tied to a real events that effected people for generations. If people get mad about it thats one thing, and usually people who do get mad about it are people whos history is definied by said racism, who see the authors of manhwas use their REAL historical events to include them in the said manhwa while minimizing their outcomes (example: the exed manhwa of the author who wrote utgl). it also cant be made up with alpha beta shii because thats Fictional, while racism itself is purely based on historical events that have happened overtime. Such things are usually taken from real life event while you cant say a non con in omegaverse is taken from real life event cause it isnt real. If its based on real events, or if a character who has been assulted is based on real person, thats where the problem starts.
Can you point out where op is doing any of "real life rape apologism"? Fictional rape "apologism" which isnt real, isnt crime under any jurisdictional law, unless you can prove me wrong of course. Thats like saying just because i play CoD im ok with nmasshoting and killing of others. I shouldnt watch horror films either since all of them depicte murder which desensitizes me? Wheres the line here, who makes the line of what FICTION u can consume and what u cant?
So fast to say it... In Brasil While imprisonment or criminal conviction of the author for "apologia" is ruled out in fiction, the work and the author could face other types of legal sanctions:Recall and Sales Bans (Justified Judicial Injunctions): If the "romanticization" or defense of rape in the book is deemed an outright hate speech against women or a direct incitement for readers to abuse real people, the Public Prosecutor's Office can take action in civil court. The book's circulation can be banned, or it can be recalled from bookstores.
If it have the Involvement of Minors (ECA): If the fictional rape described in a positive light involves children or adolescents, the author loses the protection of freedom of expression. The Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA) strictly punishes any representation—even purely textual or illustrated within fiction—of child sexual abuse or exploitation.
ALSO the Civil Damages if There Is a Real Victim: If the story uses the name, image, or modified biography of a real-life rape survivor to claim the act "was a good thing for them," the author will be held liable for severe moral damages, slander, and defamation in both civil and criminal courts.
So shut the fuck up
You literally didnt point out anywhere where this could apply to manhwas in any way shape or form?? Neither is "fictional rape" here deemed as a hate speech towards woman nor direct incitement for readers to abuse REAL people...??? Did you even read what you posted?
To point out last paragraph, thats literally what everyone talks about when they say that fiction based on real life events isn't ok in anyway shape or form, and thus no oneis justifying that.
(Sorry for replying to you, I couldn't reply to the comment before you)
I'd like to point out that this story was (1) not a direct hate speech to women (this was omega, even if some do have gender roles similar to women, they are very much men in their world...) and then (2) was not a direct incitement to readers to abuse other people because it revolves around undoing the effects of said act with a more healthy relationship and regretting the past where it did happen, (3) there were no children or adolescents rape cases on this story described in a positive light, nor was it illustrated (mc's case earlier in the story with the teacher was in no way tolerated or have been said to be a "good thing" in the story, instead being portrayed as one of his main traumas and not something he loved) also (4) there were no real victims used as reference here. So everything you have listed does not apply to this specific story. I think there are more manhwas valid for these arguments, but not this.
I would also like to take this time to clarify that I, in any of my responses, had not claimed to be speaking out for the masses or all victims or SA and rape. I was simply answering a question, directly addressed to my own opinion, if I, very specifically me, would forgive my rapist, and had started that it would depend on my own personal situation, and my own personal considerations. I only used fictional circumstances in the story, such as literal time travel to explain how the mc came to this forgiveness.
I think you might've replied to a wrong person because I'm actually on your side and agree to all the points you have made in your initial posts. Nor do i see you opinion about forgiving your rapist (which i hope you mever go through/went through) problematic as much since rape experiences and victims decision are purely what they decide to do and dont think it should be judged in any way shape or form (unless they are coerced or manipulated into making such decisions).
Yes, yes, sorry, I can't seem to reply to the other person because mangago said their user's settings don't allow it. Thank you for understanding what I was trying to say ^^
