Btw I was marinating this while reading Nerd Project and The Pizza Delivery Man, and when they where in their respective separation arcs, I kept seeing comments about this one too. Then I started to read, thinking that it wouldnt take too long, right? Right? I wish I would have waited longer to pick it up.
This is torture at this point, I'm torturing myself. There's no communication. I should have never started s5 and I'm this close to just let it marinate until they resolve things (but I just know I won't be able to help myself when I see an update ╥﹏╥)

At the end of the day I'm just glad that I didn't waste money on this story. Wasted my time, sure but it's not like it would be the first time I've read badly written stories. It does annoy me that I had recommented this as a green flag to get all of this mess. It's not that I mind reading toxic relationship and red/black flag characters, it's that I usually start a story knowing what I'm in for.
The MC pmo so much, way too much. I just don't want to blame the victim here, but no matter how I look at it I can't get his pov, I can't get any of his thought process. He's not treating all alphas the same and there's no reason for the way he thinks. Oh he doesn't know anything about his childhood friend - you've been around each other for years! What do you mean you care so little about him? He just doesn't deserve Hyeondo.
The author had promoted this chapter 33 after going silent for months. I'm pretty sure all the backlash made them change the storyline and I'm not believing that the morning after pill was the original plan. I'll check in a few months to see if there's any redemption worth of picking it up again
Yes, author received a huge riot after changing the story promise so much, no proper tagging , no TWs, even Korean readers were disappointed and were dropping series at the beginning of season 2, chapter 33 is a response to criticism and readers' explanations how 'who's the daddy' trop would destroy this story even more... but honestly, for me this story is already destroyed by author's own hands... sad, because unfortunately I wasted money on this shit on the legal platform, and that pisses me off even more... This author definitely doesn't deserve any support, as didn't show any respect towards readers who were supporting her...
I wouldn't be surprised if the author original plan is to make MC pregnant with his secretary baby but Hyundo would still choose to take responsibility for it. But honestly how can someone who can create a story with such a good beginning then end up with a lot of stupid plots in it.
Anyway, kinda hope Hyundo end up with that omega guy instead.
I would have felt so betrayed, even more so. I am buying other stories, but I'm already confident about the direction of the story - after seeing this I would be very unsure about supporting a new story from an unoknow author.

Yeah, I do believe the initial plan was for him to be pregnant. And to make us doubt on who would be the father. But even if it was the secretary baby. Wither option would be so bad.
Love how c.r.jade did this author's note! I'll miss them until season 2, but I'll take the chance to read the novel. (and hopefully to fill the void with the Ghost's Nocturne new season)

Week after week I come back to hate read (something I don’t usually do) because I feel nostalgic that this was one of the first stories I read and made me fall in love with bl manwha. It was my comfort story, not my favourite, but a very special one. And it's tarnished now. Then we have such a huge lack of communication and such short chapters with no development whatsovever that I ask again, why?
Chapter 47 ends on chapter 86 out of 197 (excluding the side stories) of the novel, so we're not even half way there.
