what i thought too! the dialogue is different than the novel and the escape scene seems shorter. i think i remember taejun locking yumin in the bedroom first before he completely escaped. he also went inside the trunk of a car if i recall before the lady found him in cat form

Its so sad yall always complain about ukes when he literally expresses what he feels with respect cause he is obviously confused. Ml is so autistic its hard to understand why he does the things he do.

I agree, plus we analyse as observers, what I see, is good writing. Mc is emotional, ans swept up in a relationship, struggling with the money attitudes and stuff.

Sure, we know, as omniscient ones that they'll end up together, that the ml's family seem legit. But imagine suddenly you get swept up in a marriage with a super influential rich dude, who seems a bit neurodiveregent at first, but then just boom. autism. And then his family is kind of diminishing your family' financial independence from them..

Like people are generally pretty weird, and it's not easy to pick up randomly, whether someone is genuine, genuinely confused, acting oblivious, or even acting with bad intent.

again i dont hate mc, I think he’s annoying, because the way he acts is kind of disrespectful to the ml imo. he’s also high maintainence. Does that make him a bad person? no, I just don’t particularly like him. and no, writing is not good bc the same plot dynamic is just being recycled again and again.. trust me if this had happened just a few times i would understand but it gets old by the third - fourth time

he's not respectful, he's pretty much sarcastic and passive aggressive and takes everything personally as if everyone was attacking him, which this far hasn't happened??? or at least the ml never actively did anything to hurt him and is the one who receives the stupid complaints and all

I think characters being flawed is good writing, I haven't found mc particularly annoying, but I guess that's subjective. I don't need a saint character.

Also I haven't noticed at any time the mc being portrayed as a perfect character, or idealised, which maybe I haven't noticed or overlooked something?

Honestly I don't know how mc isn't grateful, so far I get he is living and using ml's funds and stuff, but it feels to me like there is a certain discomfort and the attitude towards money is one of the central themes here.

I mean, is it just me or the aunt buying bikes thing is just really weird? Like legit a question.

Cause the first time I saw it I thought, shit, that family is making mc's fanily financially dependent on ml's family.. so that they are in a forever subservient position or sth.

I mean I've read a lot of drama so maybe I'm just suspicious by nature.

no, he's not perfect and has his own problems, but I think that it's annoying how the author chooses to portray him in a constant defensive state—he uses sarcasm to attack the ml who doesn't even notice it's sarcasm, for example.
Of course I'm not saying he's a bad person or character, but his personality ends up being repetitive and annoying
Also I just refer to this superficially because that's how I perceive the story's writing, there's no much thinking, just act and response, we'll see if there's more to it later!
