They be looking retarded in some scenes
You are sensitive because you could've scrolled like everyone else who commented or just down voted but because you guys are so emotional and have to respond like and then yall say retarded shit like trying to be cool when like only you mfs try to be cool and a decent human being wouldn't be reading about rape and shit but we're all here so
it’s always been a slur, just the day as the n-word, meant to separate the group who uses the slur against others from the others who are called the slur, meant to degrade and demean their worth as human beings and make the rest of society view them as inferior and subhuman, not worth being treated with decency and respect like other humans but instead be insulted and mocked and treated worse than animals, shut in asylums most of or all their lives because they “shouldn’t mingle with normal people” and normalise that idea so much that barely anyone bats an eye and thinks they’re better off living like that. The n-word used to be widespread and used by everyone too, even used in medical texts in the northern states of America in the mid 1800s where slavery had been abolished, but it was still a slur back then. Just because it was once the official term used in medical texts doesn’t mean it hasn’t been a slur for a long time, a vast majority of disabled people for decades and decades have considered it a slur and advocated against its use, and their continued advocacy over the decades is how we’ve gotten to the point where it is now considered a slur by the mainstream, non-disabled population as well, just like how black Americans have long considered the n-word a slur when someone who isn’t black uses it and how they have fought and advocated for hundreds of years to get the white mainstream to consider it a slur when people who aren’t black say it, and as a community they have chosen to reclaim the word amongst themselves to change the meaning and connotations it has held for hundreds of years, but the disabled community has a very different stance on the r-word and it is not one they wish to reclaim. My point being, just because “that’s the way it used to be” does not mean that it was right and correct back then either, it has always been morally wrong and dehumanising, and I say this as a disabled person who would have been called the r-word if I had been born 20 years earlier than I was.

In another world we're all thicc bitches
