Guys, why did they break up again?
I’m disappointed. Ch 37–38, Suzuki is intimate with Norman. I know the main aren’t dating any longer, but still. It grossed me out. Will this be in the live action? Oh god, I hope not but it most likely will.
He even said he had his first time with Norman. I’m so wow…also why did the two break up again? I don’t get why Suzuki casually decided to sleep with Norman after all that. Also I don’t remember but both Suzuki and Sugiki were trying to top each other? Is that why he gave it up for Norman easier, because Norman bottomed for him?
In chapter 38, what does Suzuki mean when he says: “Sugiki completely changed my identity these last few months, I never imagined I’d get all passionate and horny over another guy.”
When he says another guy, does he mean Sugiki or Normal—the guy he just slept with? Fuck. And in chapter 39, Norman sees Sugiki and feels guilty for sleeping with Sugiki’s ex. He tries to justify it by saying they were just using each other. I do like that this was mentioned.
Anyways, it was so dramatic and the Nazi shit in ch 39 was wild.
Yes, it’s exactly because they both want to monopolize each other. In simple terms, it’s because they’re both tops. Initially, Suzuki wouldn’t even think of looking at another man; he was as straight as a ruler, a textbook playboy who only had eyes for women. That is, until he met Sugiki.
Sugiki, on the other hand, is the complete opposite—refined, disciplined, and used to being in control both on and off the dance floor. Yet when he meets Suzuki, something inside him shifts. He’s fascinated by Suzuki’s raw passion and recklessness, feelings that blur the line between rivalry and attraction. But as their power struggle intensifies, so does the tension between them. Both are too proud to yield, and instead of finding balance, they clash. Ultimately, their relationship crumbles not because of a lack of feeling but because neither could bring themselves to surrender, not even to the person they cared for most.
Ohh! So is the “another guy” Suzuki referring to, Norman? He was able to be passionate and horny with him thanks to Sugiki? I don’t know about you, but that just feels icky. This all could have been somewhat avoided with a good talk, but I guess that’s an idealistic view.
Also referring to this: In chapter 38, what does Suzuki mean when he says: “Sugiki completely changed my identity these last few months, I never imagined I’d get all passionate and horny over another guy.”
And honestly all that build up just for him to sleep with a man after thinking he wouldn’t, is just…no. Maybe if it was with Sugiki, the one that changed his view and sexuality, it would have been more impactful and less damaging on my perspective. All that sparkles and shit for him to have sex with Norman.
I do understand that they both did it for the sake of some distraction, but it’s just not it. It is just disappointing. Yes, Sugiki did also fuck two or one person like a dog in heat, but that’s because he has already done that even before meeting Suzuki.
I just don’t think I like how his first time with a man was done so casually. It’s not simply that he had sex with another that makes it icky, it’s how casual and easy it was for him to lay with another. But then again, it all boils down to dominance. He wasn’t able to be dominant with Sugiki, so I guess it’s just like fucking women in a way. He did have sex with women before, right? He was just not gay.
________
Thanks for explaining by the way, much appreciated for the response. So how will they deal with the whole “I will be the top!” “No, me!” once they reunite? So funny.
2) I forgot to mention my thought about another thing. I hope Suzuki ends up being the bottom if so, because it would be his first time with a guy as a bottom. That would ease my disappointment somewhat and make up for what happened. But that’s just IF switches won’t happen. If switching could happen, that is the best thing because switches are not as common as the usual top x bottom. It would be lovely for both of them to compromise their ass for each other, I feel like that would be the best decision because both of them want to top. Maybe one of them could top on certain days, then switch.
And yeah, they weren’t ready to be in a relationship with each other because they failed to compromise something that could happen with discussion and easing each other’s insecurities or anxiety about bottoming. Honestly? Suzuki sleeping with Norman is easier for him because it’s like sticking it inside a woman, not that it is a woman position but it’s like the typical sex roles portrayed.
He has always been a straight guy, like you said. So it’s easier for him to stick it inside than be railed. That’s why I think if switches can’t happen, him bottoming for Sugiki would make up for the ‘first time with a guy’ situation. Because it would be seen as something Suzuki was afraid to do, but gave it up for Sugiki only. Much more meaningful but that’s just an opinion.
Yes, you’re right — the “another guy” Suzuki refers to is Norman. When Suzuki says, “Sugiki completely changed my identity these last few months, I never imagined I’d get all passionate and horny over another guy,” he’s admitting that Sugiki made him realize a side of himself he never thought existed. Instead of facing those feelings, he projects them onto Norman as a way to test or escape what Sugiki awakened in him.
So yes, while both of them are clearly trying to distract themselves (Sugiki with others, Suzuki with Norman), the difference is in the emotional weight. Sugiki’s escapism feels habitual, something he already did before Suzuki, while Suzuki’s feels like denial, an act of rebellion against his own vulnerability.
In short, that scene isn’t just about sex; it’s about Suzuki trying to reclaim control over his identity after losing it to Sugiki. Narratively, it’s understandable that it feels wrong or hollow because it’s meant to. It reflects Suzuki’s confusion and avoidance rather than any true resolution.
Eyaa, this is something I’m honestly not sure we’ll ever get a clear answer to. The last translation update was around 2023, and it’s been quiet ever since, so there’s no telling if it’ll ever be picked up again. If it does, though, there’s a chance that the live-action adaptation might take a slightly different direction or add new elements that weren’t in the manga.
Since this is a *shounen ai* series, I’m not really expecting much focus on who’s the top or bottom. That aspect is usually left vague in this genre because the main focus tends to be on emotional tension, character development, and subtle relationship dynamics rather than explicit romantic roles. Still, it would be interesting to see how the live-action interprets their chemistry and whether it hints at those dynamics more clearly.
But for now, all we can do is wait and see—maybe we’ll get lucky and someone will decide to continue translating it. You never really know with series like this; sometimes they surprise you when you least expect it.
Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. For that same sentence, I also thought Suzuki could be referring to Sugiki when he says “another guy” cause that would make sense too. Norman makes sense too.
Yeah, so really rather than the sex itself, I think Suzuki’s act of doing it so casually and easily is what caught me off guard.
This is shounen ai? It seems in between, the smut isn’t explicit but it’s kinda there. No genitalia showing though so yeah it counts. Last translation in 2023? Wow. Fuck me.
Maybe I’m just being a bit too much and whiny over this but it’s really important (for me anyways, I don’t speak for all) that the live action does not include this bit. They could do even better by not letting that tension and build up go to waste.
You’re amazing with the detailed responses, thank you! Do you write perhaps?
Fr though I kinda somehow agree in the end its just definitely their way of escaping each other and doing whatever the f* they want in the process but seems like the end of chap 39 shows that they can't undeniably let go of one another. I dunno what happened after so I'm not really sure if they ever made it work.
Help I still dont understand the dynamic between Norman and suzuki, like yeah I get they might just be FB and it seems like suzuki still cant let go of sugiki as well, but I dont grasp abt what Norman thinks of suzuki tho, does he want/like suzuki? Or is he really just using him arghhh the manga kind of confuses especially since English is my 3rd language
Novel readers?? Spoil it all for me pelase
I don’t remember reading much of this. I skimmed through the latest chapters uploaded here. So is the ML/Allen still married with that beautiful malewife? Assuming his name is Nathaniel. He is gorgeous!
1. He introduced himself as the official wife, so I guess so. How come Allen is still with Nathaniel? Still trying to have baby? And he does say that he loves Chris. I guess it’s just political reasons. Also idk how he’s fine with sleeping with Nathaniel if he does know
that the one he likes (Chris) is jealous.
2. Does Allen still sleep with Nathaniel? In beginning it is said it’s difficult for Nathaniel to conceive. They have definitely slept together before, otherwise they wouldn’t know if Nathaniel had difficulty conceiving or not. Chris also mentions that Nathaniel isn’t pregnant yet. Honestly he is with someone like Allen, no wonder why he has difficulty conceiving. Poor beauty
3. I also don’t get what makes Chris (Kaoru) so special. It’s confusing because in chapter 2, Allen is like: you must not have any feelings for me, just an incubator. And Chris simply agrees, but somehow this makes Allen shocked? And he even asks if Chris is jealous that he might sleep with another man. I assume it’s because the original Chris followed him around. But to go and fall in love with Chris that quickly just because Chris changed? It’s so weird.
In the same chapter 2, Allen asked Chris to make an aphrodisiac to use on Nathaniel apparently but then changed his mind and used it on Chris. Why? So had he only asked Chris to make it to see if he was jealous? And he suddenly falls for him? The fuucuk
4. In chapter 3 or 5, Allen mentions that Nathaniel had been inviting him over lately at night, and how he had to fend Nathaniel off, and that Nathaniel looked desperate than usual. I felt so bad for him. Poor dude, having to endure his husband going over to another person’s abode and having sex.
a bit confused if you’re asking after reading up until chapter15 but if not, almost all of your questions will be answered through the existing chapters. and spoiler; neither allen nor nathaniel have feelings for each other. they really got married just for the sake of political gain. nathaniel aims to be the bearer of the royal heir and allen just needs an heir.
Like the person above me said almost everything you asked is answered in the chapters we have here but, in case you're nor feeling it lol here it is
1. Allen is still with Nathaniel because they're married, and this is an historical royal setting. Even more so, Allen is the king. Getting a divorce already isn't really all the rae, but for him it's even less of an option... But neither of them ever really had feelings for eachother. Nathaniel at first is enraged that he is being ignored in favor of Chris because he's scared of losing his political position – and Allen used to sleep with him because he wanted a heir. Neither were in love.
2. Pretty early on, as soon as he gets interested in Chris, Allen stops sleeping with Nathaniel. Also he's technically not really trying for a baby with Chris either since Chris hasn't had any heats, they're just fucking like rabbits bc Allen is ine hell of a horny guy I guess... but that's a bit besides the point.
3. Allen likes Chris now because he is, quite literally, a different person now. Whether that's weird or not is more up to personal opinion since this is love we're talking about – but I do agree that it's a pretty rushed ordeal. Not much we can do about it though.
He used the aphrodisiac on Chris instead simply because he changed his mind. He didn't ask for it *to* make Chris jealous, but rather just changed his mind on wanting to use it with Nathaniel once Chris showed he wasn't jealous.
4. This one isn't really a question but... Nathaniel just wants to bear the king's heir, so there's not that much to pity here. He's not feeling down in the dumps for losing a lover, he's just losing political foothold. He seems to be growing fonder of Chris with time, though, so he's been slowly caring less about that.
I’m asking for the whole story and I know I’m asking too much but it’s okay, I’ll wait for as long as it takes lmao. I’m just a lazy guy at times, I have so many other stories in queue. This is for anyone that wishes to answer any parts of the story. I’d love any spoilers to the max
Yeah I figured after some people got it through my dumb ass head. Thanks for the clarification. I understand MC is not trying to have a baby to avoid dying, but I wonder how long he can go with that and if Allen knows he is taking pills
And poor Nathaniel.
1. Yeah I know it’s some political shazaam but it’s not like I’m a big fan of realistic settings either. It would be nice if Allen loved Nathaniel too and somehow worked out a throuple, but nah complicated situations are always better huh! Or Chris and Nathaniel. I’m not really mad at Nathaniel besides the assault on Chris earlier in chapter something, I’m more disappointed and just meh with Allen of all main characters.
2. Does it say he stopped sleeping with Nathaniel? I don’t remember that. Cause why would Chris say this: Nathaniel isn’t pregnant YET (as if he thinks Allen is still sleeping with him). Unless it was said in novel?
3. Yeah not the biggest issue here, love bombing was just funny and odd but I can look past that. Also why does Allen need to use an aphrodisiac with Nathaniel? Can’t they just fuck? Or does either of them have a hard time getting it up? You did say neither of them hold feelings so maybe that.
4. Yeah I wrote this while thinking Nathaniel was one sidedly in love with Nathaniel. I still feel bad for him though because he wanted to be the one to give heir, he was the first one there. If he had a heir, the others including Chris wouldn’t have been there (assuming). If it wasn’t for the fact he had a hard time conceiving, he would have had it all. Well, except love maybe. Yeah after the assault and confrontation in earlier chapters, Nathaniel felt somewhat at ease with how nice and peaceful Chris was despite slapping the shit out of poor Chris. The scene of him being an emotional wreck over losing his position or possibly losing position if another concubine potentially have a baby before him, versus chapter 13-15 is wow. He seems more relaxed and chill with Chris, although still a bit awkward.
2. Chris keeps bringing that up (that Nathaniel isn't pregnant yet) because, as with most isekai protagonists of the "I'm in the world of a novel/game I saw before" genre, he just sticks to the original timeline like it is gospel even though he's changed pretty much everything about it already. Also, Allen has glued himsef to Chris atp, it's hard to think he'd even have the time.
3. He doesn’t ever explain why he wants the aphrodisiac, but it may be a mix of the not having feelings + the fact Nathaniel had trouble conceiving, so the aphrodisiac was maybe to try and make him more "fertile" (weird af phrase but idk how else to say it oof)
4. At the end, it works in Nathaniel's favour too, bc he's going to find a better man for himself. I don't remember 100% if he falls in love with this guy afterwards, or if he's been in love with him for some time now... but one way or another, his love life does get solved. He doesn’t get the high status but at least he gets a family.
And, yeah, he's pretty relaxed now. He's not sunshine and rainbows just because that's not really his personality, but he's overall doing fine
oh and in one of the recent chapters, it’s hinted that he was abandoned by his other father(the queen) and chris assumed that the reason allen suddenly got attached and couldn’t leave chris alone is because when chris started to distance himself in the beginning, he felt like he was being abandoned again and his trauma response kicked in. but that’s just chris assumption so we don’t really know yet. and i also had a feeling that nathaniel will be having another love interest in this story. just my feelings though, not confirmed
Why are people saying TJ potential redemption arc and one mentioned Jo deteriorating? Did we miss some chapters or am I lost? To be fair I haven’t read this in a while, and I skimmed a bit cause I’m busy with other stories but wanna see. I’m above 80 chapters though.
Just cause he isn’t doing good mentally? Wasn’t mental health a big part of the core in the story? I mean maybe not directly but literally all the main characters are mentally unwell in a way, especially the amazing and toxic pairing TJIAN. Idk about the redemption arc either, sounds like a diehard tj fan seeing Jo “deteriorate”, and being happy as if that = TJ redemption arc possibly.
But whatever the author does, I won’t complain. As long as it’s developed well and written in a way it isn’t rushed.
Not a big fan of sleeping around, bottom or top idc. It’s not that bad though, just not a fan. Now if I was horny, I’m a huge fan.
But anyways. On chapter 2 latest an it’s kinda bland. It’s also confusing how the bottom blames the top when he left by choice. The worst is that client of his, poor bottom. Thankfully he was rescued but he has already been assaulted sexually many times.
Ch 2 the bottom saying: “taking two partners one after the other is exhausting..” (I assume he is referring to that shitty client of his? Besides ML. If true, don’t like how he referred his client as a partner, I know sex partner, but I just see ‘partner’ as something intimate or close companion—so hopefully he stops seeing that client. He was horrible to the bottom.)
I hope he quits, but that’s just cause I’m biased against sex work/multiple clients especially since he is so vulnerable as an omega with so little safety regulation. But if he wishes to continue and is happy with it, I can’t be against it. He does seem tired of servicing though, anything for money sounds about right. I would have probably done the same in this economy if I didn’t have family and peer support.
And the top seems to be afraid of alphas? I guess it’s the trope where he or he witnessed another alpha forcing themselves on an omega.
The rating seems a bit too low, but this did just get an update and only on chapter two.
I don’t remember. After the bottom was raped by those guys (assuming multiple or just one?? Either ways ew), he shut off from the top, why?
Is his calmness towards the rape due to his emotional apathy or something? I think it has to do with how he grew up, his childhood. But I am not sure.
I dont think he shut off bcs he was raped. It was more like hayden keep asking him for details but when he heard the details and the brett’s plan, he doesn’t like it and doesn’t agree with him. so, brett is just like “told you so that this was gonna happen” (but im low key sure that this was all some sort of manipulation moves by brett).
anywaysss, in regards to his calmness during and after being assaulted. I kind of understand it in the way that like what is panicking gonna help you do if you know you cant overpower them other than getting more beat. so he’s just taking notes of things thats gonna help him exact revenge. but idk if this is just him suppressing his feelings or not tho. cos seems like both his dad and brett are high functioning psychos~
Tbh I’m not used to the bottoms having trauma or something mental health issues after being raped cause that rarely happens in BL, the rape and all is just overlooked. While I thought he was too calm at first, I also feel like maybe the way he grew up had to do with his emotional “apathy”. I don’t believe he isn’t affected by what happened at all, he is but it’s suppressed.
Lmao high functioning psychos. Could be! I forgot about his dad honestly, how is he?
FOR CHAPTER 38. Was purple head hitting on ML? Flirting? Does he like the ML? And what did ML mean?
I dropped it around chapter 38 and picked up on it, so I forgot some things before that chapter.
I don’t understand the conversation. Help!
ML said: “No, it’s fine, we are almost done eating anyway…and I’ll be bored waiting here by myself, so let’s just head up together.” (I assume he meant to get the documents, going together, did ML say it like that on purpose? Or meant nothing by it?)
Purple head: “Are you saying what I think you’re saying?” (Possibly hook up)
ML leaned in and made it seem like he was going to kiss the guy, but then brushed some lint off the guy, and said: “I admit I’m not squeaky clean either, I told you off just recently for something similar, so wouldn’t it be crappy of me if I came onto you like that right now?”
So he would have came onto the purple head if he hadn’t said whatever he said earlier? YALL IM SLOW OKAY, SOMEONE PLEASE SMARTIFY ME
Then purple head said: “He looks like that, but won’t take my bait.” (Looks like what, and can’t tell if he really likes ML or not)
In chapter 39, ML low-key praises him and he blushes.
I really hope that if things get misunderstood and Felix does not join Romani (whether blackmailed or join side) in any way, and leave Seven behind.
I also do not want to see him having sex with him. I hate this kind of trope so much. I was thirsting over Romani earlier chapters ago. Seeing how their past was, I highly doubt it ever was consensual or just abuse if not sexual.
I hate the tropes where the bottoms force themselves to do something for the top. It’s annoying when all the other party wants is to rape the bottom. Hopefully not.
And I don’t believe Seven did that.
