I'm sorry but the gall to look heartbroken poor J felt guilty for even saying it as if HE did something wrong!! feeling bad for sending a child into war doesn't negate sending the child into war!
I cried while reading that part in the novel. The actual chills of realizing they called you in because you're the last resort in basically a suicide mission, and a place where his only remaining relative has "Status Unknown", not to mention, he's 16, I think? And Jung Bin was told not to ask for his age, like the entire bureau is closing their eyes to the fact that J is too young to fight just because he's S-Class

So much didn't get resolved... the trauma was literally just dropped like it didn't exist anymore, the YURI!!! ALSO why does his sister hate him so much?? And the DID felt very underdeveloped. It felt the author was treating it well in some ways and not in others. And i believe if you're gonna go out of your way to have the whole plot rely and revolve around a disorder, you should probably research it more? It felt like more of a gimmicky way of doing poly relationship than an actual exploration of relationships with someone and their alternate(s) especially considering the trauma was hardly touched on (and very forced thr way it was acknowledged. Like the guy in his traumatic past and MC look NOTHING ALIKE what???)
It was an enjoyable read, I liked the characters themselves and the character design but it definitely left MUCH to be desired

I don't feel like it was. To me, it was just suddenly dropped when he realized his feelings despite it being traumatic enough to cause his DID. Plus the story spent more time with Tae-Oh than Tae-Jun, who the trauma actually happened to, so it ended up feeling like the "severely traumatic event" became "a thing that happened" in one chapter without narratively earning it. Just my take on it
