The actual title in kr is Boundary of Delusion, Borderline is just the english localization, plus the author has already confirmed Mok doesn't have a bpd diagnosis and she doesn't want to portray a specific psychological profile. He is genetically predisposed to depression because his bio mother suffered from it and he definitely has issues that needs to be explored in therapy but imo a lot of what he's going through is simply falling in love for the first time, for someone who thought everyone in his life is disposable and wouldn't stick around anyway, so why bother getting attached.
