I didn't know this is uploaded here. I read it on webtoons, but I would like to talk about it here as well, since the comments there all begin once the locked chapters are uploaded and it kinda makes you feel left behind.
This story is so amazing, make sure you read it on webtoons and support our genius author!
Ok, let's take a vote! And again, don't just like this randomly, pleeeeeeeease~
It might not come about in this chapter, but once they meet again, what do you think is going to happen... and I will fight you that it can't be another win for Enzo!
Thumbs up: if you think ---> Of course, Rian will kick Enzo... ideally in the balls~
Thumbs down: if you think ---> Rian's gonna pull a gun on him!
There's no third option, so if you think both... just choose the one you would be more satisfied with ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Sooooo, Enzo used Rian to approach Fletcher, so the Outfit wouldn't notice, but how did she know that Rian wouldn't be loyal to him? Just guessing based on his personality? Or she knew more?
Thanks.. uhm.. I just want some clarifications... or please correct me if I am wrong.
So, in context, Rian and his company he works under is part of the consortium, which somehow his boss now holds the slush funds of said consortium. Since the consortium is filled with various members from other organizations.. Enzo used a connector to get him in his target for the outfit not to suspect him since he is the bad apple. The outfit is really suspicious of bad apple. Enzo offered their bodies to sit at the higher capo of consortium but got played by connector and now the funds has been bought in by someone without Enzo noticing the buy out thus, Enzo got played????
Really trying to understand this
It seemed that the Consortium members were former Outfit higherups, but they ripped off the organization to create their own mafia, so that way they were traitors to the Outfit. Fletcher suggested that Enzo killed them for that reason and was planning to give back the fund to Outfit to strengthen his own position, since he's not the Don. But she also threatened him that he shouldn't underestimate her, we know already she's also holding some part of the Consortium's funds, and it seems she has support from within the Outfit, which Enzo said it's because she was his grandfather's lover? That's kind of sketchy. Enzo implies that she was acting according to his grandfather's advice, former Don Stefano, to rip off those rip offs from the Consortium. That's probably why Enzo killed them, to secure the fund.
Thanks for this explanation. Now I do quite get it. So the code of shadow when was kidnapped by Enzo is an intel to Rian about the outfit's boss moves and Rian just played along Enzo mind that he is still on track and in control with everything that is happening within the consortium. So Enzo's goal is to blackmail Fletcher to give him the funds for he has taken out the former capo.
Thank you so much! The puzzle pieces are now building in my head..Now the chapter makes sense. Now they have a buyer, Rian can now play dumb since they technically had no information of the matter and now.. he can truly leave and cut ties with Enzo..
The problem now is.. Enzo will definitely hunt him down for making a fool out of him. Vulture will be deeply involved in keeping Enzo lose track of Rian
Uh, this is my take... and again let's put the 'rape is not cool' talk aside for now and just focus on the story, and seriously, let's not get confused there... this is rape.
It doesn't seem that Enzo's incapable of giving Rian pleasure, he's determined not to. He's working very hard not too. He even says "Do you really think I don't know where you'd like it", which means he had kept his promise that first night, making Rian come, just not the usual way. And again, not cool, but let's stick to the story.
Let's go back some chapters. He was definitely annoyed that Rian was going to do his job using the same methods, but while his threats were horrifying, flirting in his own way and with the intention of asserting dominance, they were provoking. Which means he knew Rian would sleep with his target, he just made sure to gain something out of it. Hint: he already had prepared the earing even before going to Rian's room.
So considering all that, what he's gaining? After all, he could be aggressive before and act worse, but he didn't. While having another hostage is a factor, it's also something he could use before. I think it's because he's a showman, who knows the importance of timing. And now he's changing Rian's anatomy with his participation, reluctant as it as, and he's making sure to stablish some sort of hierarchy between them. So it's not even about his own pleasure, while he's a sadist who's enjoying it anyway, obviously, he seemed more excited and... I don't know, crazy? that first night, while he looks totally in control here.
So, I really hope, fingers crossed, that he won't break his ribs. First because that would be very inconvenient for himself. He still needs to train Rian... I don't know, to match his mold? And second, he can bargain it with something else. I think that's something we should expect from him. He pushes Rian in a corner, then offers him some lesser evil, and since Rian doesn't really have a choice, it's Enzo's win either way. Wow, he's a demon for sure.
I'll clarify something quickly: when he said, "Do you really think I don't know where you'd like it," he was referring to Uno's d*ck. He was holding it while saying that, and he's fully aware that Rian's only source of pleasure was through stroking and giving attention to his d*ck. However, Rian couldn't feel anything at that moment because he was cock-ringed, and of course Enzo knew that too, since his intention was exactly to prevent him from using his d*ck again and thus having s*x.
So, he prioritized his own pleasure first, and only after that did he attempt to give Rian some relief by stroking him. Unfortunately, at that stage, Rian was unable to respond anymore due to the pain he had endured.
So yeah, it's obvious Enzo wants to "punish" Adrian rather than pleasure him. It doesn't change the fact that a second chapter focusing only on torture and s*xual violence, when it's been like this since the comeback, is at this point becoming repetitive rather than impactful. When every chapter relies on the same cycle of grape, suffering and humiliation, it stops adding anything new to the story or the characters (doesn't necessarily deepen them or advance the story in a meaningful way, it just reinforces information the audience already understands) and instead feels like shock value being stretched out for far too long.
And after a while, constant gruesomeness stops feeling shocking or meaningful and instead becomes exhausting.
Also, another point: if every sexual encounter we're shown is framed around control, humiliation, or punishment, then there's no actual basis for claiming that Enzo is good at sex either.
If anything, whether he's actually good at pleasing a partner is still there to be proven, because the story has yet to show much evidence of it.
First, no, he's not referring to his dick. He's clearly mocking him before that, "Why it's not reaching the right spot?" right after Rian thinks, "like there's a fire inside, deep in my stomach..." And seriously let's not get to rewriting every line. Read it again, if it's not too hurtful. Anyway, accurate or not, he's using the ring to mess up Rian's sense of pleasure. That's clearly why Rian panics, not because Enzo touches his dick for a millisecond. That's really too obvious, considering what happens afterwards.
And... no, haha, there's definitely no claim that Enzo's good at sex! Lol, there's absolutely no evidence of that. I'm saying he knows how to give his partner pleasure, the signs are all there, but he's a psycho who despite knowing that denies them that pleasure... because he's sick in the head, it's punishment, he's more invested in altering another person's sense of self... all of that?
And I'm not going to get into that morality thing, since you're spending too much time on this story for someone who claims being extremely disgusted. It can be curiosity, the phycological thrill, hoping for consent, or even revenge, seriously anything... really, I don't care, but you don't get to judge other people, be it the author, other readers or a passerby.
So please after this, don't answer to my comments, I won't answer yours. They're annoying.
First of all, I’ll answer to your comment if I want to. You don’t get to decide that lol. If you don’t want a discussion, you’re free to stop replying.
Second, it's not my problem if you misunderstood where I was coming from. I never said he wasn’t mocking him or that the ring wasn’t involved "at all" in what was happening. Obviously he was, he was clearly deriding him ! The point is that Enzo still knows what actually affects him the most which is his d*ck. He knows what Rian responds to, what gets a reaction out of him, and he deliberately uses that knowledge against him.
He specifically targets the part of Rian’s body that was previously associated with his own pleasure (his d*ck) and uses it as a way to show him that he is taking that away and forcing him to rely on something else instead (the ring).
And he literally says afterwards "your precious little toy can't function anymore", "this is no longer your g*nital” and that "from now on you’ll use this/the ring instead". So yes, that still aligns with what I was saying: that line was referring to Rian’s d*ck and the way Enzo was trying to alter the way Rian experiences his own body and what he associates with pleasure (from d*ck to ring) thus why he said the earlier line !
So no, I wasn’t ignoring the ring or the scene. You just misunderstood the point I was making and ended up arguing against something I never said.
Also, stop putting words in my mouth. Funny that you brought up morality when that wasn’t even the point of my comment in the first place. Where did I mention morality or judge anyone ? I was literally talking about story structure and writing choices. Saying that repetitive scenes of suffering stop being impactful after a while is "media criticism", not a moral judgment of the author or readers. I can dislike the direction the story is taking while still being invested in it. I liked the premise and season 1, and just because I’m disappointed with where it’s going doesn’t mean I’m going to stop hoping the writing improves or that the story finds a better direction. Like wtf are you even on about ??
Criticising a story, its choices, or how certain themes are handled is not the same as judging every person who reads it. The fact that you jumped from “I dislike this direction” to “you’re judging other readers” is you adding an argument that was never there.
Maybe try responding to what I actually said instead of the version you created in your head.
And regarding the “we don’t know if Enzo is good at sex” part — that wasn’t even me making an argument against you ! It was an additional thought, not a claim I was trying to prove.
But considering how much of my original point was twisted into something I never said, I’m not surprised that part was misinterpreted as well.
Peace out !
Seriously, he's only making it harder for himself going forward, since Rian thinks it's only some sort of power play for Enzo. That's why he called him 'master' all on his own, right? Also, his confusion with the chocolate, oh, that was cute. Once he figures out it's NOT... haha, Enzo, darling, say goodbye to your advantage~
Yeah, wow, I don't know which one to expect though: Rian figuring it out/getting away or getting back at Enzo/getting away... a mix of both? I mean, if Rian figures it out and at the same time gets back at Enzo, that would be so chill, the chase's gonna be magnificent!
And about the island, I thought Rian was the usual bored/rich guy, but if the hints from the side stories are true, then he might be the fallen/rich guy, doing whatever he can? I kinda like that too ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~
No way! He doesn't know his real name, or else he wouldn't have so much fun calling him 'Rian', lol
I don't think Shadow would give him any useful information anyway. And kidnapping him is kinda, hum... I'm not sure, but maybe he exchanges him for the footage, Via's, that Rian took. The main plot has so much to reveal.
Enzo is so scary, man!
But I think/hope Rian's not gonna fall for him that easily. There's too much grudge. And I'm sure he's gonna keep the hate relationship going on for a while, that probably wouldn't end even if Enzo starts seeing Rian as a person, but only when Rian sees him as a person. I really love the main plot. The twists are perfect!
Can I refute that some of words? Hihi
I think "too much grugde" for the readers who hate enzo of what he did in bed. and its understandable.
Rian is a bottom who never held a grudge on Enzo because he force himself to him but also not falling inlove with him.
Rian's feels like a pragmatic, he dealt life as it is, never let that affect him whatsoever like the first time they did it, just a few curse. As long as his main goal achieved.
And Enzo saw Rian as he is. He knew Rian have something he wants, something can destroy him but he let him to enter his world, confident that he is the one with the upperhand. I think part of that reason he want Rian for himself aside of being a connector. He's obssesed at this point but not an idiot to fall in the trap.
This is what I want to see who will be the winner at the end.
Well, there's too much grudge for the readers who hate enzo for what he did to uno in bed.
But I noticed Rian never held that grudge just because enzo force himself to him, (but yes he is bewildered, but who doesnt?), as long as he achieved his goal.
What i like his character he is not a drama queen, but yes he is absolutely a diva.
He also not easily to fell inlove with any person but sure there is something with Enzo captivating him.
And also lorenzo
Your comments don't open correctly for me, sorry if I missed some points.
But no, I think he does hold a grudge because of that. Before that night, Rian was like, 'I want to see him cry,' but after that, he's more like, 'I want to beat him within an inch of his life.' After the chip and outsmarting Enzo, he thought he had his revenge for the throwing into the fountain incident, while Enzo had actually outsmarted him, and everyone else, since he was waiting for something to happen to get his plans to the next stage.
But yes, since Rian utilizes sex like a useful tool, I think he has a different threshold, but even then, he's tolerating Enzo for his mission, while waiting for the right time, and also since he likes that face... I like that face, that face is a cheat!
Well, in Enzo's case, he was obviously impressed, but I think he mostly loves the theatrics. Rian is very dramatic. I mean, if he had done it in a boring, less provoking way, Enzo might've not fallen for him, since before that, he just found him annoying, not caring about his looks or other qualities.
I agree that Enzo's obsessed but not an idiot, and he won't fall for the same trick again, but Rian is a wild card, supposedly. Once he figures out what it is that Enzo wants from him, he's gonna use the hell out of that.
So, I'm going to make a guess here... at some point, in this season, Rian's gonna mess up some of Enzo's plans, which would be awesome, but there will be no actual winner in the end. Enzo's plans are gonna blow up at some point, regarding the Umbra project, also Rian/Connector's role in it, and only then they're gonna have a real turning point, because until then it's just gonna be the same catfight between the two of them.
Yeah, but it's Candy again; I think it's in the pages they uploaded here too. Rian's so softhearted, he falls for Candy in every universe. And I guess Enzo's his secret type, lol, he doesn't even know it himself, haha
You know why I say that, it's that restaurant bathroom scene. Enzo says all kind of bullshit, like he's flirting, but then Rian doesn't bite back, and it's so obvious Enzo was provoking him, but he's also disappointed. That's why he takes things slow, dining and wining Rian... until the right time! Anyway, that's such an interesting interaction; some of what they didn't show about that first night is being hinted then and how Rian's distancing himself, with the glasses, cold attitude, etc. Anyhow, while Rian is a real submissive, Enzo is a true lunatic, that's for sure!
WHATTT THAT WAS CANDY?? Yooo I missed some steps LAMFOOOO I thought that was Enzo relative or sum in that AU lmaoo and I also forgot he was made to be a 2nd male lead… I just never thought he was actually in love with the mc from red candy that much, I thought it was more ”he’s my partner and he’s good at this job and he won’t die and he will keep things professional and he never let me have sex with him so that’s why I’m interested” that’s how I interpreted his feelings for red candy mc.. but actually in the end of red candy he rang to him and we got a glimpse of Enzo back then…… I think author already had her story planned out from the beginning. We just gotta see how it unfolds
No! He has like a huge crush on Candy. The chapter they talk on the phone, later he had that meeting with Enzo and the other guy, and Rian seems all bored/distracted/sad, so when Enzo mocks him that if he uses sex to get all his jobs, he nags back that Enzo's the weird one for not being interested in him. That's how deeply he feels about Candy, which obviously means Enzo's disinterest had hurt his pride, but more than that, he's feeling hurt because of Candy's rejection. Those feelings are real! He's such a softie.
Anyway, that's why everyone's so excited for when Enzo and Candy meet, haha, that would be hilarious! And seriously, Enzo's not winning any point with that attitude~
Seriously doe? I thought he was whoring himself out on everyone and was just interested for the looks n shit, since it was kinda obvious he fucked around and could fuck anyone as long as they were his type OR do get his mission done. I only thought he looked after candy bc candy was his partner before and still tho I can’t see rian ever being serious about candy for some reason xD I guess you simply yearn for the things you can’t have and that’s what makes it beautiful lol that’s how I see rian with candy. Does tha mean he doesn’t care for candy tho? Nahh I think he really does, in fact he’s interested in candy and wishes he would have him /sleeping w him but I genuinely somehow cannot see him ever being serious in this original timeline simply because he’s a fuck boy here… is that why Enzo is so perfect for him…? So he make sures rian doesn’t fuck anyone else and makes him commit (⊙…⊙ )
Well, I don't think their love story could be a success anyway, since Rian wouldn't/couldn't change himself for Candy. I mean, there are playboys who can change their ways after getting over that phase, but for Rian it's not simply a phase; it's his work, his relation to the world, and very much his personality. He might have stopped sleeping around for fun after getting with Candy, but how long till he did it for work?
And even Candy had noticed his feelings were real; when he said that he would've slept with him as payback, but it's not what Uno really wants. And despite knowing that, he never took his feelings seriously because Rian wouldn't be able to take responsibility for them.
And so, yeah, Enzo's kinda perfect for him, as terrifying and crazy as he is.
Yeah, I love him, he's such a professional, lol~ Enzo is crazy and Rian's a professional, what a pair!
But wait, this chapter, doesn't Enzo look too young?! Nooooo, don't be too young! But at least he's older than Shadow, calling him a kid. And again, why did he call Shadow a rat?!!! Because he was going back into hiding or because he ratted on Rian? I hope it's nothing important (⌒▽⌒)

I really thought Rian somehow recorded Enzo and Fletcher's meeting. I also thought he was going to record what Enzo had to say now. Is he just going to have a good time? Seriously, after everything?! I guess Enzo's been calling 'idiot' for a reason~
