I’m too woke for this poorly crafted bullshit… the American stereotyping is so freaking cringe (esp with the names and politics) and the objectification of the women in this is extremely crass.. the author erases all form of critical thinking skills and reduces them to simply tools of sexual canon fodder for the mc, stripping them of any sort of personality so they can merely be used to try and convince the audience that the mc is someone worth reading for-which btw just adds on to the authors terrible writing cus as much as they try to convince the audience otherwise, the mc clear straight garbage. I despise yaoi storylines where the women are present just for show or to be used as a catalyst(10 times out of 9 in a degrading/dehumanizing way) so that the mc’s can get together. Women already go through enough shit irl…If you can’t write a single woman with a likeable personality and semi significant role in your BL then just don’t put them there in the first place, if anything that would actually be way better and less insulting. Next, what I hate the most beyond the objectification and reduction of the women is the fact that they try so hard to make the mc likable but the writings so poorly put together that it only ends up making him more insufferable. Nobody wants to read an entitled arrogant inconsiderate manipulative skank get everything he wants at the expense of others with ZERO consequences! Plus there’s no hint at him even considering reforming for redemption…. With the way the storyline is going, its leaning more towards a Codename Anastasia trope where the seme is just absolute garbage and instead of reforming and learning to treat the uke right, the uke just learns to accept his bullshit to the point where, for reasons unknown to even God himself, ends up falling in love with the shitbag, rather than what it SHOULD be going in the plot direction of: something like Low tide in twilight.. Also why make an American based bl if you can’t even so much as a draw a face on the black background characters… it’s weird and it shows that the only reason why Dane is black is because of fetishization…so once again I’m too woke for this bs

I don't know why some readers seem to think that. He is tanned by the sun, and he is drawn like that. There is no indication in the story that he is black. And the author herself discribed him at an event on ridi as tanned by the sun, so this is canon.

There's only 10 chapter and we barely see anything besides greyson on other story told by other characters perspective so why are you saying there's no action that there will be any redemption for him????? I read the novel in one go didn't even sleep at night and let me tell you I cry so fucking much for greyson. Mind you I was talking bullshit about him all this time for what he did at chase. Also if you haven't realize which you really don't all the miller family has smth wrong with them psychologically and greyson included even though it doesn't justify what he did it's still smth to take note about.
