I get she was only 10 when she regressed, so maybe her still craving her families affection or not being able to stand up for herself might be accurate, but that sure as heck doesn't make it a satisfying read. Why have ppl forgotten how she was treated? No one checked in on her, ever. No birthday gifts, education, nothing. You can say it was for her safety she got sent to the annex, fine. Yes, her father did get sent to the Frontlines to protect her. But that isn't anywhere close to enough.
So to see her suddenly gain powers and immediately be basically accepted back in, given nice things, means they only care she got powers now. It's disappointing how quickly she acts like it never happened, even though I know she's only 10.
Also, she has done nothing herself. Others have saved her every time and only by luck her powers awakened. Usually with regression, the satisfaction comes from them taking things into their own hands.
Especially her father. I get that he is the son of her one true friend or whatever, but that doesn't undo the fact he practically killed you. Why is she suddenly following along with him with nothing more than some bickering? Like I can suspend my disbelief for the training, she wanted to learn so she swallowed her pride. Okay fine. But the way she just agreed to go to school? "If you don't go ill never let you go hunt the dark mages" I'm sorry I know they are trying to morph her character into becoming a good daughter but I can't help but feel like girl, since when did you need his permission? Like I'm sure it wouldn't end well for her to go, but even with just the power and subjects she has now, why not just say "I was only asking cuz of formalities" and leave? Like I'm sorry but ge hasn't exactly been father of the year enough for me to think he has earned this bond that seems to have formed. With her siblings? Absolutely. With her father? He has in no way tried to reconcile with her aside from teaching her swordsmanship. Idk, her giving in more and more easily lately, especially to him, feels disappointing to me for some reason
Unlike the fl, the ml is just all around, from every angle, a let down. He isn't evil, but he is creepy, and everything about him, his backstory, how he fell for her, how he is approaching her, everything is creepy, unoriginal, and paints him in a bad light. I am reading this purely for the fl, and once the ml becomes a more prominent character, doubt I'll be able to continue.
Out of the 400+ comics in this genere I've read, there's only ever been about 25 MLs i have truly hated to the point of wanting them replaced( I have a pretty high tolerance for them). 15 of those were toxic jerks with horrible personalities. 9 had age gaps I just couldn't condone, even under a fantasy + historic lens. That leaves this last one, who isn't outright bad, he is just.... a pebble on the side of the road compared to the fl. Just a creepy pebble kicked into a culvert somewhere who needs to work on himself A LOT before he should even be considering pursuing her romantically.
I'm seeing a lot of people say they don't like the FL, I agree she can make some annoying choices, but no more than any other character in anything. Though I couldn't disagree more on the people saying she's being mean to her family or oblivious to their true feelings. That feels like such victim blaming. You know how they used to treat her, right? Of course she wouldn't believe them when they suddenly change. I honestly found her conviction not to be swayed to be very satisfying. I'm so tired of people forgiving everything the second they are nice. The fact she stayed mad, rightfully so in my opinion, until the full weight of just how much they hurt her came to life and gutted them, was one of the most satisfying things I've ever read.
Also I'm sorry, but fuck the grandpa. The entire family crying about how the son left the family so they are victims to blah blah blah trying to make us feel bad for the family, no, fuck off, the grandpa FORCED the son to leave. Grandpa said he would never condone the marriage. So the son said, "okay, bye" which is 100% valid. The only reason he said that was because grandpa had a stick up his ass and just because he regrets it now doesn't mean the son was "selfish" to leave his family "just over a woman" I'm glad he got his act together, truly, I think he means well, but he isn't getting my sympathy to justify what he did.
As a side note to the grandpa, I'm sorry but her mom irritates and disappoints me so much. She is such a coward who frankly doesn't seem to actually care about her daughters well being. Why? Because she has never, not once, even considered to ask, "what do you want?". when she told her "not to come back to see her"? After visiting for the first time in years? Nah. My sympathy drains quick. And her feeling so much sympathy for her in-laws, equally disappointing.
Aside from that though, I am still found this read really satisfying. The MOST SATISYING BY FAR was seeing her absolute disgust and zero held back hatred for the other prince, and being completly unafraid to tell him straight up just how much she despised him. (Yes, it does irritated me she couldn't be so unafraid to tell anyone else this but) seeing the look of hurt on the prince's face, even after watching him try so desperatly in what I felt was genuine desire for them to fall in love, has to be one of the most satisfying things I've read, in my entire life. He genuinely doesn't understand why she doesn't like him and thinks if he acts nice she might eventually finally fall, but she doesn't budge. Though I am disappointed she was going to go through with the marriage, I know she didn't have much of a choice, and though I'm glad Ricardo interrupted, I frankly wouldn't have minded seeing her tear him a new one and they tried to be "married", maybe even go so far as to say of he wants an heir he better start looking for a mistress because he would never willingly get one from her, etc. it was just so satisfying, I wanted more! I want to see how she treated him when they first met after being "engaged". So often do I see fls who eventually give in or just go quietly. I do wish she was more vocally combatative against the queen though, who was equally if not more deserving of being told just how much she was despised. I was hoping she would tell the queen she was setting her son up to spend the rest of his life with someone who loathed him, and that they would never be a happy family, etc etc.
In summary, I loved watching her absolutely rip people to emotional shreds, it was very satisfying to see such karma play out.
Anyone wishing he gets a happy ending is delusional. I hope he gets hit with a full truth bomb that leaves him gutted that his master will never see him that way and all he has done is made her hate him now.
Like seriously tho, what was his plan? If he had successfully binded her to the magic tower, just so she could never leave? Was he planning to keep her bound to that table? Or would he be able to control her? And then what she wakes up chained to the table and falls in love with him and doesn't resent him for the fact he bound her without her consent? Or he was just planning to be happy now that he could prevent her from seeing anyone else?he spoke to the demon about her coming back as if she'd have her own will still,
Also, maybe this is a pet peeve of mine, but does anyone else hate the fact that in stories like this, where person A is oblivious to person B being romantically obsessed, and all of A's so called "friends", instead of just laying out the danger she is facing plainly, even if she doesn't believe it, basically just say "you'll have to figure it out yourself"!?!?!? Fucking what?!?! Your friend is in danger now is not the time for riddles! Makes me so angry lol.
Anyway I'm enjoying this, looking forward to har being put in his place.
Totally feel the same way. And Tbh I’ve actually started hating the plot where person B becomes dangerously obsessed in the first place. Stop writing these trashes who can’t respect the person that they say they ‘love’. Wanting to possess the FL even if it’s against her will, hurting her, or willing to killing her just to get what they want, that’s ABUSE. Tf is romantic abt abuse???and these authors still call that abuse “love”. The fact that it’s still called a love interest is bad enough but the fact that most of the time, those monsters are the ML. Forgiveness? I literally hope they reincarnate as the bottom of a toxic yaoi so I would in their next lifetime.
Authors should srsly figure out what love is before they call the things they write romantic.
I really enjoyed the beginning, then got bitch slapped with politics. I loved her showing off her powers and kicking ass, and those moments have been the ONLY thing that kept me going up until now. Honestly, the relationship between the two is that of good friends, which is fine, but there isn't a spark to fly in the mile between them romantically. Beyond that, the constant pounding of moral questioning... is exhausting, and boarders on preachy at some points, and whatever is left over is a cluster fuck of politics. Solid enough visuals though. 3/5 but barely.
I don't think violence was the answer from the father there, i actually think it would be way better to put all 3 of them under house arrest for like 6 months to give our girl some time to dominate the game. In that time the boys could start actually feeling guilty about what they had done, instead of feeling resentment because it caused them so much pain,
No no cuz u see here's the thing about violence sometimes it is very much the answer specially her brother who saw her almost getting killed but didnt do shit and doesnt even feel an ounce of remorse about it even they thought she was bad u dont just stand there looking all stupid while ur sibling was literally being eaten by a monster

After getting caught she puts up LITERALLY ZERO FIGHT. AT ALL!? She just accepts everything! Even if she doesn't win she should still fight. Push that ml off you for fuck sake, why are you standing there doing and saying nothing!?! It's so pathetic! Like, why did you just happily get married to him!? Why not even bother mentioning to your parents you don't want to? Why not say no at the alter? Why not do literally any of the hundreds of options you would have to fight back!?! This is one of the most passive FL's I've ever seen. DO. LITERALLY. ANYTHING. YOURSELF.
