I loved it. I don't know why some people didn't like it, but i thought it was great! It certainly sped up toward the end, but, I still loved it.
As someone who tried reading at your word but couldn't get past the first chapter, can you tell me what's so good about such an asshole prince?
Well, I'm not saying he is good in the first chapter. He is certainly an asshole to start off with. Though some of is it misunderstood false rumors, some of it is 100% him being an asshole. The fun and beauty of the story is watching him change for the better as things go and he falls for her. And although a jerk with his words, I can't remember any instance where he gets even close to crossing a line (Im aware thats a low bar but within this genere I have seen some seriously toxic abusive behaviour get passed over like its nothing) I can't remember all the details of this story by now. but from what I remember: (spoilers)
After she speaks her mind that first time, it catches his eye, especially because her choice ended up being the right one. After a few more awkwardly navigated encounters, the prince starts to take a liking to her and has her assigned as his primary maid, mainly thinking she's better than what he's had so far. She sees him having an episode and unknowingly saves him /stops it. She starts getting bullied by others who are jealous that she's becoming known as the crown princess favourite. The crown prince saves her after she delivers some whoop ass (though she takes quite a beating herself tbh) they grow closer and the princes attitude has changed much more to a cheeky playful annoyance. She helps put one of his enemies behind bars. They make a deal that she will help him become emperor as long as he takes her as one of his people and let's her serve him his whole life (securing her future). and then we continue from there.
IM SO SICK OF THIS SHIT. It walks the line of pedophilia and if the genders were swapped this shit would never fly. Gross gross gross. If one of them goes back in time or something and there's a time skip that's one thing but even then god stop with the boy mom bullshit
This was great till the mari suddenly did a 180 without sib earning it, intact he was still doing shitty things to her and I was enjoying how she was standing her ground but then suddenly she likes him and she's the one chasing him around and embarrassing herself in front of everyone and now she's suddenly an idiot? Wtf happened? I know people can be stupid in love but this takes it to a whole new level. So disappointing

Honestly the son she is supposed to marry is such a jerk, she gets along so much better with the other son who also just so happens to be the exact same age as her. Why not pair those too up? I don't get it.

Because then she won't have the status of the future duchess, since the older son is the heir. That said, I can't remember if making her the duchess was even part of the dead wife's wishes ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Was that the end? Because if so what the hell was that ending. My head cannon ending is below:
After successfully ending the war in her og world, she is sitting alone despondent when she asks her God again if there's really no way to go back, he says no when suddenly the god of death shows up and says "at least not without me," and explains "that kid won't stop begging me to bring you back so let's go," she leaves a letter for the theo of her world before jumping off the balcony, ending her life here so she can wake up in the other world once again. She walks into theos office asking if he missed her. Dramatic hug, angels, trumpets, confetti and so on.
Not sure if the novel ends differently or if this comic is continued past this point elsewhere but I personally think my ending is far more satisfying than the miserable one we got. Sure the one now might be more "realistic" but sorry I don't read stories of dragons and time travel in order to fill my daily quota of "harsh reality"
Why does everyone like the emperor so much? I was disappointed to find out ge was the ml he gives me the ick idk. Even tho I do have mixed feelings about the wolf (I both like and don't like that he became a person) i prefer him to the creepy mass murdering emperor who only knows how to speak in tongues.

As a novel reader, (I haven't read the whole novel yet but I'm already in the part why the emperor is the ML) please wait for the story to unfold before judging the little emperor. You might change your mind or you might not but still, I think it's too early to judge the ML, afterall they are all still children
the emperor was earlier than the black dude. ofc, emperor will be the ML. i dont like the black dude harboring feeling to FL tho. that feeling not love but obsession.

She's collecting men like pokemon cards then picks the caterpie of the bunch. It'd such a shame because I was actually really enjoying the unique premise and story and how she was getting stronger. Honestly even if I don't particularly like the ml, if they had stuck to the one ml and had them slowly fall in love and him redeem himself this story would be phenomenal, but for some reason they had to focus on the worst part of the story which is the reverse harem like relationship of spirts and knights and had to introduce ml after ml to create "drama" that is so unsatisfying to read and takes away from the actual interesting story. You had such a gem here, why did you have to ruin it by turning it into a sausage fest. I just don't understand.
The smut just comes out of nowhere. I was actually enjoying it up until that. Shame.
