I don’t know about music and piano so what did compton mean when he said the professor is SCHOENBERG'S TWELVE-TONE TECHNIQUE
it's a bit hard to explain, but the technique they're describing has an approach to music that is really atypical to how human's naturally engage in music composition. it's much more mathematical and rigid, and is at risk for coming across as lacking emotion. my interpretation is that compton is using it to illustrate that the professor is hard to understand for "normal" people like he and garam, with the implication that he may be lacking typical human emotion and connection.
In chapter 48 when reider told wooyon that geom knew everything but kept it a secret to have fun with him what did he mean, what is it that he knew I don’t get it
He meant that geom knew that wooyeon was partially to blame why he got trafficked because at the festival he denied his feelings and his own feelings which led to him not coming 10 minutes later. Geom stuck around Wooyeon and specifically when he poured the hot coffee on him he was testing how much pain he could handle and if he could ever imagine how much pain geom had suffered. It was in part a way of taking his anger out on him from not being there. Wooyeon had known nothing and therefore did nothing to help geom. Even if he had known he wouldn’t have been able to do anything.
